Inside, the decor is light and airy, and the ground floor features all the modern comforts you could ask for: soft furnishings, WiFi, and air-conditioning throughout. Tiled flooring, neutral tones and natural finishes sweep through the open-plan living area creating a soothing atmosphere. A plump sofa and comfortable chairs make the lounge an inviting spot. Sit and chat with friends and family or relax with a film on the TV. But on sunny days, you’ll want to open the floor-to-ceiling glass doors and let the warm Mediterranean air breeze in. From the living area, pristine white walls sweep through to a light-filled kitchen where you can rustle up a meal and then serve it at the glass-topped dining table. Alternatively, step through the kitchen doors and linger over a brunch on the terrace. Also, on the ground floor, you’ll find an en-suite bedroom featuring a queen-size bed with huge glass doors that offer direct access to the terrace and pool area.
The villa’s relaxed elegance extends upstairs to the remaining two bedrooms. Both bedrooms feature queen-size beds and are awash with natural light and offer plenty of wardrobe space. But best of all, each has balcony doors which you can throw open. Step outside onto the well-sized terrace and enjoy feeling the sun on your face. There’s also a pristine bathroom on this floor. Back on the ground floor, the outside space is a delight with an infinity pool, shady palms, a barbecue area and a covered terrace dotted with comfy furniture. Take a dip in the pool, relax on one of the sunbeds or sit at the table and enjoy an alfresco meal. Villa Chic Calpe is located in a quiet, tree-lined residential area. It’s less than a 15-minute walk to the local supermarket and restaurant and is also ideally located for outdoor activities, with hiking, golf and kayaking just some of the options on offer nearby.Villa Chic Calpe is located near the seaside town of Calpe on Spain’s Costa Blanca. With its beautiful sandy beaches, golf courses and hiking and climbing trails, it’s a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The town is dominated by the rock of Calpe (Penon de Ifach), which rises up from the sea and dominates the skyline. Those with a head for heights can scale the 332m-high summit and spot birds, mammals and reptiles along the way. It’s a strenuous walk, but at the top, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular sea views, and on a clear day, you’ll be able to see the island of Ibiza. Alternatively, head to the marina, where you can take a boat ride around the rock or sail to the nearby town of Benidorm.
For a day out at the beach, head to La Fossa located beneath the rock. It’s a popular beach, with clean, calm waters and fine sand and is backed by a promenade dotted with restaurants, bars and shops. El Raco cove, located at the foot of Ifach, is the ultimate spot for divers and offers an underwater diving trail, while nearby Cala Les Bassetes is an ideal beach for kayaking, sailing, and windsurfing. Lovers of golf can also enjoy a round at the nine-hole Ifach golf course, less than a 15-minute drive from the villa.
Alternatively, jump on the 5.5 km ‘Paseo Ecologico’ eco trail and stroll from Calpe to Benissa. It’s a beautiful coastline walk dotted with quiet beaches and secret coves. Along the way be sure to stop at one of the many bars and enjoy a drink before taking a dip in the crystal-clear waters. Alternatively, head inland and discover the old town brimming with beautiful architecture and bordered by 15th-century walls. Originally a fishing village, Calpe’s old town is a pretty place to spend an afternoon with cobbled streets, colourful steps, wall mosaics and murals, and Roman ruins.
