The Island Fish Fry is a lively event on Thursday evenings at the Bight Children’s Park between 5.30 pm and 9.30 pm. Along with many local food vendors, there are entertainers and cultural acts that make this a very colourful, vibrant event. The aroma of fresh fish, the visual treats of boiling lobster and conch salad, plates loaded with crab and rice, lobster mac and cheese and local island corn are very popular. New bands take to the stage along with local favourites, dancers and other cultural acts. There are locally handcrafted items for sale, folklore storytelling, maypole plaiting and instrument demonstrations to keep you entertained. The prestigious 18-hole championship golf course at Provo Golf Club is open to members and visitors.
