Grain Heath reinterprets old Copenhagen in a modern version. Slightly uneven floors and crooked ceilings, it’s the kind of place that makes us feel welcome and piques our curiosity at the same time. While the home doesn’t offer much in terms of entertainment, Copenhagen’s lively Indre By is right on your doorstep – within minutes you could be shopping on Strøget, watching a play at the Royal Theatre or perusing Nyhavn.

*Guests 4 and 5 would be on a sofa bed in the smaller living room
*This is an old home, typical of this part of Copenhagen – expect some uneven floors
*The windows are not soundproof – there’s likely to be some noise in the evening due to the central location
*This home is on the second floor with no lift – be prepared for some stairs
*The bathroom is a little tired-looking – it could do with an update
*The water pressure isn’t as strong as we would have liked it to be
*Since there are no windows in the bathroom, there’s little natural ventilation
*The wifi is a bit slow
