There’s a heated pool to swim some lengths in or gather around the fire pit in the evening after an alfresco dinner of Florida stone crabs on the terrace. Lots of natural light, tropical plants, and neutral tones create a homely feel inside.
Out and about, Downtown Fort Lauderdale, with its stylish restaurants and bars, is a fifteen-minute drive. It’s the same distance to Bonnet House Museum, ideal for history lovers. The kids will love Butterfly World (twenty minutes in the car) or head to Fern Forest Nature, home to native plants and a nature centre with reptiles. Alternatively, Fort Lauderdale Beach is just over ten minutes from this lovely home if you prefer to feel the warm sand between your toes.
