We can just picture preparing meals on the kitchen island with people gathered around, perched on stools, sipping on a cocktail, while the kids play outside in the grass, occasionally popping their heads to ask (again) if it’s nearly ready. And the huge, cosy sofa is the perfect spot for film marathons.
The characteristic interior is the star of this home, but there’s something special about the outdoor area. You’ll come out onto the raised decking, complete with a hot tub for eight people, a barbecue, and a dining table. Rosemary bushes line the garden, carrying their distinct pinewood scent when the wind blows. They lead you to the firepit, where you can spend evenings roasting marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate. And when you come to the front of the house to the veranda, that’s where we really feel this home’s Southern charm. There’s something incredibly quintessential about enjoying your morning coffee on the veranda, looking out at the leafy street.
When you want to explore, you’re just a ten-minute drive from Downtown Atlanta. The city has a long and important history, so the museums and historical sites are a must-see. And Atlanta is famous for its massive food scene, be sure to try it out. However, if you’re looking for relaxation and relaxation only, and you don’t want to venture out of the neighbourhood, you certainly don’t have to. Edgewood is filled with coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and parks.
