Afterwards, why not slip into the hot tub – a magical experience in itself because it feels somewhat hidden in a little cave – and simply bask in the warm glow of the island?
The home follows the classic Cyclades design and was constructed from whitewashed lime with both form and function in mind. The first you’ll notice in the rounded corner, minimalist design, and small windows, whilst the latter is a quality that lies in the flow of the home. Right at the back, you’ll find the bedroom where you can spend lazy mornings sipping on coffee. When you’re ready to get up, the small dining area is your next step. The lack of squared-off rooms make the space feel bright and relaxing.
If you can break the hold the mesmerising views have on you, you might want to venture to the beach, or walk one minute to the closest restaurant. Once you’ve explored the village of Oia, remember to bring back bougatsa to enjoy as you put your feet up.
