Did you know that Naples is the home of Neopolitan ice cream? That could explain why so many houses stacked in hill-top towns along the Amalfi Coast are painted in such pretty pastel hues. And sitting like a scoop of raspberry ripple above the Mediterranean Sea, we think this home is the crème de la crème. Inside, sophisticated, playful colour pairings come together like a mouth-watering sundae. In the kitchen, for example, blueberry-coloured tiles sit alongside caramel-coloured wooden accents. And in the bedrooms, mango sorbet cushions make the peach parfait and creamy vanilla bedding pop. Outside, the pool is as refreshing as a thirst-quenching glass of water – and certainly welcome after that sugar rush. There’s also an in-built barbecue, bamboo-shaded dining area, a rainbow-coloured hammock for an afternoon snooze – oh, and, and the incredible views of the sea and Punta Penna peninsula are a real feast for the eyes. The home is near Nerano, and its pebbly beach is a short 10-minute walk away – just enough time to work up your appetite for another afternoon gelato.
