The slightly rundown grandeur of the interiors brings to mind the post-unification era under the house of Savoy, and if there’s one thing that can’t be argued, it’s the sense of history about the place. Hi-tech it is not, but it doesn’t pretend to be. The house is unabashedly proud of its style, and while it won’t suit everyone, it’s hard to argue with.
