With incredible views from every window and a spectacular sunset seen between the mountains, there’s something new to look at with each season. An attractive and spacious home, it’s built over three levels to make the most of the views, and we love the wraparound deck for eating outside. The stylish, open-plan living space is the heart of the home, with a high, vaulted ceiling, a floor-to-ceiling brick-built fireplace and picture windows at every turn. Cosy up on the squashy corner sofa, cook in the classic all-white kitchen – kitted out with everything you’ll need – and eat at the chunky dining table. Or make a night of it, and ask your host to organise a wine tasting or private chef. Bedrooms are spread across the floors, allowing for a lot of privacy, and one opens right onto the garden. In the evenings, light the campfire and watch the sunset while planning the next day’s adventures. Head out hiking in the Kaaterskill Forest, enjoy a glass of wine at The Vineyard at Windham or grab dinner at the restaurant just down the road.
