Rent Apartment Fluorescent Kyanite The Boroughs
Holiday Home Rental Description
From the outside, this traditional white clapboard home with double-hung windows, grey shutters and a second-floor porch, looks to be a typical CharlestonTownhouse/Apartment – but, step inside and find a light, breezy, mid-century styled interior, curated by a critically-acclaimed set designer whose previous work includes collaboration on a number of top Wes Anderson movies. There’s an inviting living space with pastel hues, wooden flooring, white beamed ceilings, a cast iron fireplace and a retro-inspired television that makes for the perfect place to relax with a signature South Carolinian cocktail of sweet tea vodka. Through to the stone-top kitchen island, where you can cook for your guests while socialising and hatching out the day’s plan. We particularly love how the open-plan layout blends with the intentional but not at all minimalist furnishings for a chilled-out beachy feel (check out surfboard overhead). Spill out onto the covered porch on balmy summer evenings and watch the world go by from this peaceful part of town.
Located in the laid-back Cannonborough neighbourhood, you’ll get a real taste for authentic living here with a number of locals residing in this slower-paced area. It takes less than ten minutes to drive to the evocative streets of the French Quarter, filled with boutiques, eateries and bars. Swap the city for sand by catching a cab to Folly Beach, just over twenty minutes from home.
