Rent Apartment Pomp Douglas-Fir The Boroughs
Holiday Home Rental Description
If you’ve ever wanted to stay in a dream-like Wes Anderson film, then this is the home for you. The owner was the set designer for several of Anderson’s films and that pastel-hued dreamscape feel echoes in every room here. The classic white-wash walls and hardwood floors of a CharlestonTownhouse/Apartment have been softened with dusky pinks lampshades, a duck-egg vintage fridge and suspended sunflower-yellow surfboard above the dining table.
The attention to detail, just like the sets of a Wes Anderson film, is key. We love the dining chairs upholstered in mid-century floral fabric and the macrame beanbag in the living room. There’s also a dedicated desk basking in natural light from sash windows, perfect for penning your own avant-garde screenplay. Heading outside, you’ve got a classic Charleston balcony, with dining set up for an evening meal outdoors, and a porch below too.
You’re in the laid-back Cannonborough neighbourhood here, where indie bakeries provide breakfast options, and brewpubs and barbecue restaurants fill the old antebellum houses. It’s just five blocks to King Steet too –Charleston’s main street.
