These windmills are scattered around the region, particularly in the quaint area of La Olivia, which is just under 45 minutes away from the centre of Fuerteventura. This windmill presents an unconventional patterned exterior, making it a very picturesque landmark that should not be missed during your time here. Guests can also enter inside the windmill and marvel at its archaic inner workings.  The Morro Velosa Statues are an incredibly moving piece of architecture and are based just over 20 minutes away from the centre of the region. These pieces were crafted by the acclaimed Emiliano Hernandez and depict two ancient kings known as Ayose and Guise. They stand an astonishing 4 metres tall and are best known for holding looming staffs. This landmark is also accompanied by a wealth of informative panels, ensuring that guests can gain a deeper understanding of their cultural significance. Thus, this is a fantastic landmark to visit if you wish to learn more about the far-reaching legacy of this entire region.
