Original exposed stonework and oak beams show the bones of this period home, while a glorious and carefully curated mix of textiles, ceramics, antiques, and contemporary pieces champion British craft from all eras. In the shaker-style kitchen beautifully equipped for keen cooks with kitchenware from David Mellor and tableware from Another Country, there’s a welcome hamper awaiting. Expect award-winning British craft food (we’re talking homemade cakes), and fresh milk and butter (from the dairy over the road). Over in the snug sitting room, there’s timber ready to stoke up the wood-burning stove and a bookcase filled with modern classics. At every chic bedside, there’s a Roberts radio waiting to serenade you. And don’t get us started on the Edwardian design gardens, with suntrap terrace and barbecue.
