We think this Clapham home is a real corker. Set over three levels, it’s perfect for a large family or group of friends and offers more than enough space to spread out. Downstairs, a cosy double living area is where you’ll rest your feet – one side is ideal for Netflix movie nights in front of the fire, while the other has a squishy sofa and shelves overflowing with books. Keen chefs can let loose in the kitchen, rustling up homecooked feasts to share around the table in the conservatory-style dining room. On summer days, throw open the French doors and step into the pretty private garden for drinks in the afternoon sun before heading out for a night on the town. Upstairs, you’ll find four comfortable bedrooms – all with desks if you need to work from home – plus two bathrooms. Although you’re a little further from the city centre here, Clapham’s thriving food scene, charming pubs and two green spaces make it worth the extra travel time. Bustling Northcote Road and its array of eateries, coffee joints and charity shops is just a three-minute walk, but when the city comes calling, hop on the Northern Line at Clapham South (a fifteen-minute stroll) and you’ll be in Leicester Square in twenty minutes flat.
