Inside, this home is warm and inviting. Wooden beams line the ceiling, while a crackling log burner is just the ticket after a brisk stroll through the rolling hills. Whip up a roast in the rustic kitchen or, on sunny summer days, savour a cup of tea and a nibble or two in the shared garden. Spend the evenings watching a film in the living area – there’s a DVD player as well as a smart TV – or play a board game around the dining table. Within the grounds, you’ll find a vegetable garden, woodland area, small pond and a trampoline for children – plus there’s plenty of room here to please the four-legged family members, too. The hosts live on-site and you may see them pottering around the garden, but they’re very friendly and can be as hands-on or off as you need.
