Cornelian Bay is tricky to reach and quite remote, yet it’s a stunning stretch of shoreline that you’ll have mostly to yourselves.
After a spot of sunbathing, discover the charming cafes, restaurants and pubs that line the shore. Children love the arcades that decorate the seafront, which is an idyllic spot to stroll along with an ice cream.
Once you’ve fully covered the coastal amenities, the Sea Life Sanctuary and Scarborough Castle are two family-friendly activities. There’s also an open-air theatre showing live comedy, music and arts – a must-do in the summer months.
