So curl up on the sofa with a good book – Bram Stoker’s Dracula, perhaps, which is closely associated with the town. If it’s warm, open up the patio doors for a breath of fresh sea air and uncork a bottle of wine to add a carefree flair to your cooking. The kitchen is smart and well equipped, though if you don’t fancy playing chef, Whitby’s pubs and seafood restaurants are just a stone’s throw away.
