This luxurious two-storey three-bedroom villa located in the Algarve region of Portugal boasts a rooftop terrace with stunning blue views of the Atlantic ocean. The villa has been recently renovated, and the warm touches of terracotta and natural stone blend perfectly with the newly modernised interior. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your private pool, which has been decorated in elegant blue and white tiles to complement the villa’s Moorish architecture. The pool is the highlight of the garden and is set amongst a spacious seating area, so sun-worshippers will be in their element. Guests love to spend hours here topping up their tans, and it’s no wonder when they’re underneath a seemingly endless bright blue sky. You’ll be surrounded by native countryside, so your time outdoors is guaranteed to be peaceful, private, and rejuvenating.
Make your way into the villa through the large french doors to the open plan living area, which has UK TV and portable speakers as well as a traditional log burning fire to create a cosy and romantic atmosphere. The villa’s cutting-edge interior design boasts soft greys and bright whites, giving a fresh and airy atmosphere with lots of natural light. Stroll through the dining room, and you’ll come to the fully-equipped kitchen with refined fixtures and fittings throughout, including a water filtration system. To top it off, the kitchen is complete with a breakfast bar where you’ll enjoy preparing locally bought produce.
In the mood for dining al fresco? Head to the dining and BBQ area on the first-floor balcony for a quintessential Mediterranean setting which is perfect for entertaining smaller or larger groups. Did we say sea views? The balcony also offers gorgeous views across the treetops of the surrounding forest. For the icing on the cake, the villa has a balcony on the rooftop, which offers total privacy, complete with sun loungers and sea views.
Connected to the large first-floor balcony is the en-suite master bedroom. Two further bedrooms are situated on the ground floor with a shared bathroom which benefits from underfloor heating. For your comfort, air conditioning is available throughout the villa, and for your reassurance, an electric gate fences the house.The villa is located in Vale do Garrão, an upscale resort that is adjacent to the lush valleys and golden beaches of the Algarve’s stunning coastline. There is a full range of shops, bars, restaurants and a choice of fabulous beaches nearby. Golf enthusiasts will be thrilled with easy access to nearby golf courses, which are set amongst pine trees and lakes. Their clifftop carryovers have become one of the world’s most famous golfing images and are sure to create spectacular holiday photos.
You will be a short drive from Praia do Ancão and its endless stretches of golden sand. This is a Blue Flag award resort beach which is backed by pristine sand dunes thanks to its location in the boundaries of the Ria Formosa Natural Park. Praia do Ancão is renowned for its excellent facilities, which guarantee maximum comfort with sun shelters, beach chairs and loungers all available to rent. Guests can indulge at one of the Algarve’s most acclaimed fish restaurants Dois Passos, which repeatedly features in the Michelin guides thanks to its fresh local produce, exceptional tapas and homemade ice cream.
A huge range of watersports is on offer. Water-skiing, wakeboarding, stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking are all available for those who enjoy active relaxation and make for a perfect day at the beach.
A thirty-minute drive from Praia do Ancão is the Ludo Hiking Trail, a stunning nature track that gets you up close to the salt pools of Ria Formosa and its wildlife. The track is a birdwatcher’s paradise with flocks of flamingos and Spoonbills all year round. The track is relatively easy, coming in at 7km and will take approximately three to four hours. Conde Nast Traveller visited and declared local restaurant Gigi Praia as the ultimate lunch experience. It serves up fresh seafood and locally grown vegetables with spectacular views of the Ria Formosa Natural Park.
Those wanting a taste of a city break can drive to Faro for a day. The capital of the Algarve is a thirty-minute drive from the villa and is home to the winding, cobbled roads of the old town. Daily markets sell fresh local produce, as well as handmade crafts and clothing specific to the region.
