With two bright double bedrooms, this is an ideal villa for a holiday with either the family or a couple of friends. One bedroom has wonderful mountain views, with the other boasting direct access to a terrace with seating. It’s the first place you’ll want to go in the mornings, with a deep breath of sea air as you soak up the stunning scenery.
Also offering terrace access is the living space; so you can enjoy relaxed meals indoors, or make them an occasion by dining al fresco. The panoramic views over the water are even more spectacular as the sun starts to set. Even from the comfort of the sofa, you can experience the beauty and refreshing breeze of the sea as you watch television with the glass door wide open.
With the villa being so close to the sea, you’re in an ideal location for enjoying the coastline in this picturesque area. Popular Marina del Cantone, with its pebbled stretch and a handful of restaurants, is easily reached from Lastre Orienti. Relax on sun loungers, swim in the sea and take scenic coastal walks.
One of the nearest towns is Sorrento, which offers plenty of historic sightseeing and traditional charm. Famous for its lemons, you can pick up lemon-themed souvenirs as you stroll along the town’s network of streets and come across shops selling local crafts.
Lush, inland landscapes can be explored as you hike through the Lattari Mountains Regional Park, which is just an hour’s drive away.Lastre Orienti is in an idyllic coastal location, with a pebble beach just a few minutes’ walk away. Hire sun loungers and umbrellas for lying back and appreciating the lush surroundings of the beach. The water is calm and ideal for children to enjoy swims. Several restaurants are within a 10-minute walk of the villa, with supermarkets less than a 15-minute drive away.
Just a little further down the coast, Marina del Cantone is a charming seaside spot with a traditional feel. Along its pebbled stretch you’ll see fishing boats that have come ashore, along with shops selling ice creams and a few restaurants. Hire sun loungers to simply unwind, as well as enjoying swims in the sea.
One of the nicest sandy beaches in the area is at Marina di Puolo (17km). The water here is shallow and ideal for the younger ones to swim in, with views out to Mount Vesuvius to enjoy.
The historic town of Sorrento (17km) is around a 40-minute drive away. Here you’ll find an old town with plenty of hidden gems, such as the 14th-century church, Chiesa di San Francesco, a cathedral bell tower and monastery. It also has a lovely family feel, with laid-back pavement cafes and shops selling local crafts and lemon-themed souvenirs.
Piazzo Tasso is one of the town’s most well-known squares and is a great place to stop for lunch and some people watching. Down by the marina are a number of restaurants serving fresh seafood dishes.
