Cabo del Sol is located in the Cabo Corridor, close to Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. San Jose del Cabo is home to many art galleries and delightful cafes in beautiful buildings typical of authentic Mexican architecture. This laid back, colonial gem is full of the magic of Old Baja. The town has a rich and colourful history dating back to the 1700’s. For hundreds of years it was home to Indian communities with its natural fresh water oasis flowing into the beautiful palm-lined lagoons on the edge of the sea. Then followed colonization by the Spanish. Today it boasts marvelous Spanish colonial character with an abundance of Mexican charm. The town enjoys secret courtyards, boutique shopping, a beautiful church, wonderful art galleries and a fabulous gourmet dining scene. The main plaza connects the characterful streets and is wonderful for a stroll, browsing in the galleries and jewellery design shops. There are many atmospheric restaurants, buzzy cocktail bars and craft breweries. The main season sees a wonderful Thursday evening Art Walk when the plaza is alive with artists and their works, wine tastings and music and dance performances.
Cabo San Lucas is known for its vibrant nightlife, its world-class marina and its fantastic cuisine. It is another paradise location with sensational azure waters, dazzling white sandy beaches and a fascinating, dramatic coastline. Visitors enjoy discovering enchanting coves and stunning rock formations including the famous El Arco. There are many boat trips for whale-watching and sunset watching.
