Casa de la Luz makes you smile. It might not be the swankiest of holiday villas but it is warm and welcoming and brimming with sunny rooms in tones of yellow, orange and red. It is located on the smart and prestigious Pedregal estate, the ‘Beverly Hills’ of private gated communities in Cabo San Lucas. The villa offers a unique architectural design and is surrounded by beautiful tropical landscaping. With five bedrooms and an independent ‘Surfer Suite’, the villa can sleep up to twelve guests. The ambience of this villa is delightful. Guests will immediately relax and enjoy the spacious rooms and the cheerful custom wall finishes. The villa is perfect for a family holiday with a fabulous playground next door.
Casa de la Luz is painted in a lovely shade of yellow, very warm and a sign of what is come inside. The villa features marble and tiled floors throughout and lovely social spaces including a games room with a professional billiard table. It is definitely a fun, laid-back villa! The ground floor living space is open plan in design with a lounge area brimming with comfy sofas and chairs. It boasts a large television and gorgeous warm tones of orange, cream and brown. Unusual windows enjoy lovely views and window seats. Sliding doors open to the covered terrace and pool area. The living area sweeps around to a large, traditional wooden kitchen which enjoys huge appliances and a breakfast bar where guests can keep the chef company. Also just off the living room is the dining area with its lengthy wooden dining table and chairs for 10 and an enormous chandelier. The walls are joyful in bright yellow. Throughout the living areas you will find much greenery, another lovely touch.
The bedroom suites are equally dazzling and some enjoying domed ceilings. The master suite boasts a huge California king bed, hand-carved furniture, a private bathroom with a two person bath and separate shower as well as a walk-in wardrobe. The Princess Room enjoys a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom with his and hers showers and a patio. The dazzling Green Room also enjoys a king-size bed and private bathroom. It also offers a separate sitting area and a balcony. The villa’s Jungle Room is perfect for children with two queen beds, a private bathroom and a television. The Rotunda room is beautiful in another shade of yellow and with a king-size bed, a small patio, a domed ceiling and a private bathroom. The Surfer Room is separated from the main villa by a breezeway and offers a single bed and private bathroom.
The delightful outdoor space enjoys a lovely swimming pool with a Jacuzzi and waterfall, loungers and alfresco dining. It is very relaxing, laying on a lounger listening to the waterfall. Guests can enjoy some shade under a palapa, a traditional Mexican shelter with palm leaves where they can also cook a feast using the villa’s gas barbecue.Casa de la Luz is located on the Pedregal estate, a fabulously popular residential, gated community in Cabo San Lucas. Mexico’s Baja Peninsula is enormous, the second-longest peninsula on earth. The Carretera Transpeninsula Highway 1 from Tijuana to Los Cabos offers stunning vistas at every turn. Side roads pass though tiny villages and wind through mountains and sherbet-coloured canyons. You may stay put in Cabo San Lucas or you may decide to explore some of Baja’s many wonders. Cabo San Lucas boasts a vibrant nightlife, impressive gastronomy and an endless list of activities. Visitors enjoy sailing, discovering enchanting coves and stunning rock formations including the famous sight known as El Arco or The Arch. There are many boat trips for whale-watching and sunset watching. Cabo enjoys many exotic, colourful bars and delicious seafood restaurants. The region’s cuisine includes seafood, a variety of international foods and delicious Mexican tacos and tortillas. You will find some amazing oceanside settings for dinner. Another popular excursion in Cabo is to ride a camel in the Desert Park Natural Reserve where you can learn about the local flora, fauna and culture from your guide before a feast of delicious tequilas and tortillas. Some of the Pacific beaches are not ideal for swimming with huge rollers though they are perfect for sunbathing. Other beaches are calmer with an excellent choice of watersports including jet-skiing, banana boating, snorkeling, kayaking, parasailing, kitesurfing and diving. Cabo is a popular golf destination with more than a dozen championship courses offering a unique desert-meets-the-sea setting. Horse riding is also available.
