Deluxe Font Sea Spain
Holiday Home Rental Description
The gorgeous sea views are never-ending at the newly built Deluxe Font Sea View, and its large outdoor pool gets the best of them. Located in the tranquil residential area of Cap d’en Font on the south coast of the island, this incredible house is what holiday daydreams are made of, and from the moment you arrive and see the view, you can look forward to a truly restful holiday.
The views are equalled by the sleek modern interiors, which are equipped with virtually every home comfort. Step inside the front door and you will find a huge lounge, dining area and kitchen all rolled into one. Arranged in an L-shape, huge floor to ceiling patio doors bring the sunny Mediterranean outdoors in and the interior comes together to create an exceptionally comfortable living space. Designer looks hold sway, with chic minimalist furnishings, elegant cream floor tiles and an ultra-modern kitchen equipped with state-of-the-art units, breakfast bar and every cooking convenience. Drawing inspiration from its location and incredible vistas from all angles, the dining area has a wonderfully large table, chairs, and funky wooden stools to tie all the natural elements together, whilst the open living space is supremely spacious with plush cream sofas and a distressed wooden coffee table making this room truly inviting for everyone whether you’re cooking up a feast, eating or snuggling up with a good book or watching a movie.
The bedrooms continue in the same vein, with understated neutral walls, trendy concrete fixtures and statement rugs. Fresh and minimal, the main master bedroom on the ground floor leads onto the pool terrace and enjoys a luxury bathroom and dressing room. Also, on the first floor there are a further two double bedrooms, both with en-suites. Follow the staircase downstairs to bedrooms number four and five – one with an en-suite bathroom, the other with en-suite shower room, plus a further lounge area providing quiet space for when you just want to chill alone.
Deluxe Font Sea View’s outside genuinely has escape written all over it. With undisturbed views to the horizon, the gorgeous setting naturally relaxes your mind, letting any stresses float away across the waters. The L-shaped swimming pool is great for a refreshing dip when the heat gets too hot, while the uncovered and covered terraces offer comfortable furniture and ample space to dine alfresco as a group, soaking in the sunshine and the views, not to mention gazing at the dreamy sunsets. On the coast, between Binisafuller (also known locally as Binisafua) and Binidali, Cap d’en Font is the perfect hideaway for those seeking tranquillity without being far removed from other bigger resorts including Binibèquer (aka Binibeca). Small and sedate, there’s little happening here to disturb the peace in Cap d’en Font, so it’s just right for those seeking to take it easy and experience a slice of traditional Menorca sea life. The stunning coastline here is complete with rocky coves that have steps built into the rocks to enable a safe climb down to secluded private swimming platforms. It’s a paradise for swimmer and the views are stunning, especially just as the sunsets.
Cap d’en Font is also home to some of Menorca’s most famous underwater caves. Peppering the southern coast with extensive cavern systems, a huge amount of them are still unexplored. For the advanced swimmer, swim through spectacular stalagmites and stalactites in one of the stunning six caves found at the Cap.
When you’re not idling away your time at your poolside, head further along the coast…. If your idea of beachside heaven is a secluded cove laced with pristine, silky white sand, knotted pines and clear waters, look no further than Binisafúller. Although you are less than half an hour’s drive away from the airport in Menorca’s capital Mahon, you’d never guess; this really does feel like an idyllic island hideaway.
Away from the better-known beaches further west, this narrow inlet is midway between the small resorts of Binidalí and Binibèquer. Likewise, with Cap d’en Font, you can’t really describe Binisafúller (as a resort at all as there’s nothing here apart from the beach, a couple of traditional, whitewashed villas and a handful of wooden fishing boats bobbing peacefully. The beach itself stretches no more than about 40 yards from one end to the other, shielded to the rear by a dense wood of pines, holly oaks and palm trees. As you let your toes sink into the fine sand sloping down to the water’s edge, all you can see ahead is the sea, a sandbank on the horizon, and the rocks, trees and shrubs sheltering you on either side of the bay. The water is shallow, which makes it perfect for paddling with children.
If you just want to sunbathe or read, accompanied by nothing but the hypnotic whispering of the waves and the odd squawking seagull, this is the ideal place. Amazingly, there is free parking behind this unspoilt spot, and then it’s just a moment’s walk down a short sandy slope and some stone steps.
Being somewhere this far from beach bars, buffets and karaoke clubs does, however, mean that you’ll want to bring your own supplies, particularly if you’re coming with children. If you do suddenly find yourself in need of an emergency sun hat, bucket, spade or nappy, the nearest shops are 10 minutes’ drive along the coast in Binibèquer.
Drive approx. 20 minutes’ drive inland, and you’ll come to Sant Lluís – worth a visit in its own right. A leftover from Menorca’s days as a French stronghold in the 18th century, the village still has a Baroque church, an ethnological museum in a windmill, tantalising local patisseries, and some excellent restaurants.
Closer to the beach at Binisafúller, a five-minute drive along the main road, you’ll see the talayots – Bronze Age megaliths. Don’t expect anything too grand: these are a pile of low, square, rough-hewn boulders and one T-shaped boulder which looks like a Lilliputian out-take from Stonehenge.
For a gentle walk with spectacular scenery, the Camí de Cavalls takes you along the coast east to Binibèquer, or you can follow the footpaths inland to the hamlet of Torrets.
