Villa Agwe Barbados

Luxury Villas
| 5 Bedrooms|

Rental Description

Villa Agwe is a well-appointed five-bedroom villa that offers breath-taking panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. Situated within an acre’s worth of lush and beautiful tropical land, you and your guests won’t be able to help yourselves from exploring the Westmoreland community. Immediately on your doorstep, guests are surrounded by enchanting gardens and a large inviting swimming pool with Jacuzzi. The phenomenal pool patio also features a spectacular octagonal gazebo, along with a pool side eating area, perfect for casual dining.
The spacious foyer situated at ground floor level opens into a magnificent open-plan living room, which then leads through grand coral stone arches, onto a covered patio that offers spectacular views of the swimming pool and the surrounding well-manicured gardens. On this floor you will discover the first two en-suite bedrooms, one of which is a King bed and the other being a twin bed. Still on the same floor, but using a separate entrance, guests will realise the third bedroom that has a Queen bed and en-suite shower room.
The elegance of Villa Agwe seamlessly flows upstairs, where the final two bedrooms are. Both the Master bedroom and King bedrooms’ have awesome views of the encircling countryside, as well as en-suite bathrooms. The first floor is also home to a terrace area, where outdoor furniture can be enjoyed. Guests can take advantage of the pleasantly cool Caribbean evenings under the covered terrace and entertain guests at the fully stocked wet bar. This covered patio, offering spectacular views of the swimming pool and well-manicured gardens, along with the dining area, wet bar and outdoor Jacuzzi and gazebo render the outdoor living space as appealing as the villa’s opulent interior, making Villa Agwe ideal for entertaining.Barbados is a truly phenomenal holiday destination, and geologically unique; a coral island, initially pushed from the sea as two separate land masses by volcanic activity many years ago. Over time these two land masses merged together creating the isle we now know as Barbados. Barbados lies on the boundary of the Caribbean and South American continental plates making it unlike any other Caribbean Island. Within the core of the island, made up mainly of coral sediment, numerous caves and underground lakes can be found. Arguably the most famous of these is Harrison’s Cave; a network of caves, waterfalls, pools and fantastic stalagmites and stalactites.
Descendants of the indigenous Arawakan-speaking tribes tell that the original name for Barbados was ‘Ichirouganaim’ meaning ‘red land with white teeth.’ The reason for the later name Barbados is controversial; some believe that the Portuguese, en route to Brazil, were the first Europeans to come to the island. Others say that it was this Spanish which gave it the Spanish name ‘Los Barbudos’.  The word Barbados means ‘bearded ones’ but it is really personal preference as to whether ‘bearded’ refers to the long, hanging routes of the bearded fig-tree (Ficus citrifolia) indigenous to the island; to the allegedly bearded ‘Caribs’ who once inhabited the island; or, more romantically, to the foam spraying over the outlying reefs, giving the impression of a beard. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
