The villa’s sizeable terrace is accessible via the large glass doors in the living room. The terrace comes complete with cosy outdoor furniture for lounging on as the sun rises and sets. Just right in front of the terrace lies a quaint and tropical shack complete with a dining area where you can sit for a spot of breakfast, lunch and dinner.
As soon as you step foot in Villa Lancaster, you will be greeted by elegance. A glistening chandelier hangs in the entrance hall, plush velvet furniture sits in the living room and high wooden ceilings are used all over the villa.
Themed suites make staying at this holiday home a unique experience. On the first floor, the Glass & Mirror Suite boasts a distinct block ceiling design and en-suite black-tiled bathroom. Also, on this floor lies the Caribbean Suite which is decorated in lively tropical colours and miniature steel pan fixtures. On the ground floor, the serene Ocean Suite holds two twin beds. The self-contained cottage contains two bedrooms; The Platinum Suite that is furnished with a Murphy King sized bed and The Cosmo Suite with a King-sized bed. This is accompanied by numerous artistic ornaments placed throughout the villa.Villa Lancaster is located in Saint James, a Parish well-known for being frequently by the world’s rich and famous. Now referred to as the Platinum Coast, the area is famed for its lavish mansions and hotels, and glistening beaches. The area is renowned for its glitz and glamour but provides a magnificent place to experience Barbados’ natural beauty including a population of green monkeys and sea turtles.
Nearby lies Discovery Bay Hotel, a hotel consisting of quaint plantation-style houses and landscaped gardens, as well as a pool, the Sugarbird Bar and Grill and a beach. The hotel also has in-house entertainment on various nights each week. Whilst visiting the resort’s beach, visitors will be able to partake in paddle boarding, croquet & shuffle boarding, water-skiing and scuba-diving. The beach’s water is ideal for swimming due to its calm waters and the velvety-soft sand is wonderful for a peaceful walk in nature.
Embarking on a 9-minute drive, you’ll discover St. Francis of Assisi in Mount Standfast. It is one of only seven Roman Catholic Churches on the whole island. The welcoming church is the best place to partake in Sunday Mass on the West Coast, with its large windows looking out onto the peaceful ocean.
