Villa Pelican is an elegant eight en-suite bedroom home on the island of Barbados. Six bedrooms lie in the main house, with the remaining two situated in a separate cottage.
The villa’s dining room sits adjacent to the well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and plenty of social space to prepare and enjoy food together, either inside or on the outdoor terrace. The bedrooms benefit from lovely patterned interiors and are themed in styles including a silverback suite, reef room, alligator room, turtle room and seahorse room. All bedrooms contain windows that let in dazzling natural light and provide splendid views of the surroundings and luxurious marble floors. Some of the bedrooms benefit from balconies looking out over the countryside and sea.
The garden is easily the finest feature of Villa Pelican, and with the blissful tropical climate, you will not miss out on any of the sunny days. The large infinity private pool sits just in front of the villa’s patio and comes with enough sun lounges for all guests. In the garden, you can appreciate the gorgeous two acres of land that Villa Pelican resides on.
The Cottage, positioned at the end of the garden houses two twin bedroom suites with en-suite bathrooms. The quaint cottage has its own kitchen, Wi-Fi, television and living room, as well as a small garden with a seating area. Don’t miss out on this magnificent holiday home on the privileged Sugar Hill Community. Villa Pelican is located on the Sugar Hill Estate in Saint James. The estate’s clubhouse boasts a wonderful covered terrace and large 2,000 square foot pool for you to enjoy.
Beach Clubs are also available to visit on the estate. Mullins Beach & Spa is only a few minutes’ walk away from Sugar Hill, where you can indulge in total relaxation on the pristine white sand. The club’s luxury spa offers a range of treatments that will allow you to de-stress and unwind.
Royal Pavilion Beach is only a short drive from Villa Pelican and is one of the most illustrious beaches on the whole island. This private beach club is available to visit via complimentary membership provided by several Sugar Hill Estate villas.
Accessible via a 15-minute drive is Farley Hill National Park, a great site to discover nature and history. The great house on Farley Hill is now ruins overtaken by overgrown trees and vines, making for an epic jungle-like site. The house was built in 1818, years before it eventually decayed and turned into ruins by the 1940’s. During the 1950’s, the house was restored with the aim of it being a film location, but the buildings’ new inflammable material was demolished in a fire. Aside from the ruins, visitors will be able to watch green monkeys in the garden’s mahogany trees and gaze over of the eastern coast of the island while enjoying a picnic from home.
