This beautiful four-bedroom villa is a private oasis hidden amongst the charm of Altafulla. Just three-minutes’ walk from the golden sandy beach and a couple more from the bustling restaurants, bars and shops, everything you need is nearby. The villa feels private and secluded, with views to the sea and a border of luscious greenery.
The private terrace, combined with the elegant interiors leaves you with a welcoming space to spend time with your loved ones. The villa would happily suit families or groups of friends, with balconies, terraces and a garden, offering ample space for nine guests to enjoy time together and apart.
As you enter the villa, the main floor opens out into a spacious living and dining room. A fireplace combined with two deep, comfy sofas, adds warmth and homeliness to the villa, perfect for cosy nights in. Sliding glass doors on two of the walls, lead out onto a wrap-around terrace, combining the indoor and outdoor living spaces into one. There is a well-equipped kitchen, with everything you need to prepare delicious meals, taking inspiration from the local Spanish dishes. The kitchen leads out onto a terrace with stairs leading down to the garden and swimming pool, connecting the two.
On the same floor, you will find two double bedrooms and a triple room, alongside two large bathrooms. Upstairs, guests can enjoy the master bedroom, with a spacious bathroom and a fabulous terrace with breath-taking views to the sea.
On the lower level of the villa, the main living space is open-plan, forming a beautiful summer living area, with a kitchen, social dining space and sofas clustered into the exposed stonework. The cosy atmosphere around the sofas is juxtaposed by the bright opening on the opposite wall, where large sliding glass doors create the illusion of the wall disappearing, fashioning a seamless barrier to the terrace beyond.
Outside, the terrace comprises of tranquil seating areas, grassy sections, luxury sun loungers and of course the calming pool. Everything about the space is relaxing, setting the scene for laid-back afternoons in the sun, playful days with kids in the pool and romantic meals each evening under the stars. The town is situated on the Costa Dorada, in the Tarragona province of Catalonia, just an hour drive from Barcelona itself. The train station is a 15-minute walk away, so you can travel about with ease, exploring the beautiful towns and beaches along the coast.
Altafulla is a charming fishing town, dating back to the Roman era. The narrow streets are picturesque, framed by ancient buildings that add character and allure to the town, perfect for lazy evenings ambling around and exploring. Altafulla Castle sits perched atop the cliffs, a romantic setting with the sea crashing on the rocks below and the sandy beach stretching out along the coastline.
Although it is small and quaint, the town is increasingly popular for tourists, with shops, bars, and restaurants slotted in amongst the town’s rich history. Within a 5-minute stroll of your front door, you can enjoy the array of traditional and seafood restaurants, as well as international cuisines – there is something for everyone. Tarragona City is less than 20-minutes away with an even larger selection of eateries, from fine-dining to relaxed, family-friendly restaurants, just make sure you enjoy some of the local classics.
Staying at the villa, you are only a 3-minute walk from Altafulla beach, so you can wake up and stroll down, taking a dip in the sea before even eating breakfast. The beach itself offers a golden stretch of sand, with a lively restaurant, showers and water sports, perfect for kids. The beach has been awarded the European Blue Flag for cleanliness, making it particularly popular with families.
If you are looking to explore outside of the town, then the city of Tarragona, capital of the province is well worth a visit – an outstanding example of a Roman Town. The surrounding area is filled with archaeological sites, including Villa El Munts, known as the most important archaeological Roman site in Catalonia. The theme park Port Aventura is a fun spot for kids, and the nearby seaside resorts of Salou and La Pineda offer something for the whole family.
