Villa Sonni Italy
Holiday Home Rental Description
The beautiful Villa Sonni overlooks the “Pearl of Lario” (the local name for Bellagio, which certainly lives up to its name!) and each and every corner of this amazing property has been designed and finished to the highest quality, assuring its guests a fantastically comfortable stay. From the wine cellar on the ground floor to a kitchen so well-equipped it would satisfy even the most discerning chef, from the pool area surrounded by a perfectly manicured garden to the flat-screen TV with a wide selection of satellite channels and a villa-wide sound system – the owners of Villa Sonni have gone above and beyond to make sure that your every whim is catered for at this magnificent property.
And that’s before we even get to the view – and it’s one that dreams are really made of. Whether you look west towards Tremezzo, East towards the Grigne Mountain range or due north for that picture-postcard view of Bellagio’s iconic promontory and all the three branches of Lake Como. You even get the Alps rising majestically in the background! It’s pretty much impossible to drag yourself away from the terrace, whether you are enjoying a meal al fresco or simply relaxing in one of the sun loungers!
In addition to having the most amazing views and creature comforts, this beautiful property is also brilliantly located for those looking to get out and about and explore the area. With the very efficient local boat service just an easy five-minute drive down the hill in the heart of Bellagio’s historical center, exploring the lake from your villa home base couldn’t be easier. For those looking to head further afield, you can be in Lecco in just 35 minutes or in Como in just 45 minutes, with Milan, Bergamo and Lugano (in Switzerland!) all within an easy 90 minute drive.
For those times when you don’t have chef service at the property, you could be sitting down in one of three local restaurants or pizzerias, eating some of the best brioche you’ll ever taste at the pastry store or mingling with the locals at the bar and small grocery store within an easy 2-minute drive. Of course, the historical center of Bellagio also boasts a wide range of stores, bars, restaurants and pizzerias to choose from – the lakes are your oyster!
The area around Lake Como is one of outstanding beauty. Stretching from the Swiss Alps to the Grigne and Legnone ranges, Lake Como is guarded by spectacular mountain landscapes. Pastel-coloured villages perch along the shorelines and trail up the steep sides. In this part of Italy, there are the simplest rural dwellings as well as the palatial villas of the 18th century.
A walk around one of these central lake villages, up a cobbled avenue or across a church square, will convince visitors to pause for a moment on a sunny bench, to stop for an aperitivo at a sidewalk café or pop into a gelateria for homemade ice cream.
Whether exploring the lake by foot, car or boat, it should be a leisurely experience. Choose from one of the numerous activities the area offers, or simply enjoy the comfort of the splendid private villa.
The beautiful Villa Sonni, overlooking the town of Bellagio, is the perfect spot for guests to immerse themselves in an unforgettable Italian experience. It is the most magical place for a timeless and unique experience.
The large outdoor terrace with views as far north as the Alps is the perfect location to enjoy spectacular views while eating al fresco. Bellagio has numerous beautiful villas and gardens, facilities and excursions, and the villages scattered on the lake shores are within easy access.
