Designed with families in mind, Villa Estragon is the perfect holiday retreat! With spacious interiors, modern furnishings and a fabulous outdoor terrace, there is plenty of room for twelve guests to spread out and relax. From the terrace the views are enchanting over the sea, and on a clear day, you can even see the whole way to Fuerteventura island!
From the moment you open the front door, the villa presents a warm and welcoming atmosphere, alike to a home away from home. You can walk in, throw down your bags and settle straight into holiday mode, spreading out around the villa, finding spaces to connect as a group as well as quiet corners to enjoy moments alone or as a couple.
The lower ground floor boasts three spacious bedrooms, a shared bathroom and the fabulous living and dining area. With comfy sofas, a pool table and table hockey, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, Sky TV and a 46” 3D TV, kids and gadget lovers will be in heaven! The games create a laid-back, playful atmosphere, perfect for a fun evening in, or when you need a break from the hot afternoon sun. Two of the bedrooms are doubles, one of which offers its own modern en-suite, whilst the third boats four single beds, perfect for siblings that don’t want to split up, giving the feeling of a sleepover every night.
Upstairs, guests can enjoy the fully-equipped kitchen, and a further two sophisticated double rooms, one of which boasts another en-suite bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare delicious family meals and opening out onto a beautiful terrace, indoor and outdoor cooking can easily be combined, with the barbecue grilling outside, whilst you create beautiful salads with fresh and local ingredients inside. With sea views from the barbecue, cooking becomes a joy; you can easily get kids involved, preparing tasty meals as a family!
As with the rest of the villa, the gorgeous outdoor spaces are also spread over two floors, so kids can play and splash in the pool below, whilst adults keep a watchful eye from the terrace above, sharing stories and cocktails around the spacious dining table. You will find your own private hot tub, next to the inviting swimming pool and the fabulous kid’s play area, offering space for everyone to do their own thing. Lanzarote is a beautiful island situated at the far right of the Canarian archipelago, the closest island to the African continent at the same longitude as the southern tip of Morocco. This location means that we enjoy a sunny temperate climate all year round. Lanzarote has the most consistent climate of all the Canary Islands, with stable temperatures throughout the year, averaging 17ºC (63º F) in January/February and 24º C (75º F) in summertime.
The whole of the Canary Islands is volcanic, but it is in Lanzarote that the most recent volcanic history is evident and accessible. A visit to Timanfaya National Park located in the south of the island is a must.
Lanzarote is also a unique example of how one single man can have so much influence on its aspect that one can say César Manrique ‘sculpted’ Lanzarote! Lanzarote’s greatest and internationally renowned son left his genius signature everywhere on the island… as sculptor, painter, architect and environmentalist. It is also largely his responsibility that tourism on Lanzarote developed within certain aesthetic guidelines and above all without spoiling the island’s landscape heritage, customs and traditions.
Except for one hotel building in Arrecife, all buildings on the island are low-rise – “not taller than a Canarian palm” – and you won’t find any advertising hoardings at the roadsides! But what you will find at the roadside are fascinating wind mobiles and sculptures and pretty villages in a symphony of white and green!
Playa Blanca is a very popular resort located a short 30-minute drive from Lanzarote airport in the island’s capital, Arrecife. The resort of Playa Blanca boasts many gorgeous sandy beaches, with the beaches of Papagayo being particularly popular due to the fine golden sand.
There are also numerous restaurants, café bars and shops in Playa Blanca, and a wonderful waterfront promenade that stretches for many kilometres, a great place for a gentle stroll or to burn off some calories during a morning jog!
Another highlight of staying in Playa Blanca is that there are regular ferries going over to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura, a journey that takes less than 45 minutes and offers you the opportunity to visit the harbour town of Corralejo with its very famous sand dunes/desert!At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
