Several towns and villages along the coast take pride in their pretty promenades and clean beaches and have an abundance of bars and restaurants. The sea is warm, calm and shallow and great for families.
La Manga del Mar Menor is the narrow strip of land that separates the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean Sea and has been described as ‘A paradise between two seas.’ Alongside the glorious beaches, there is a sports harbour where you can hire water-sports equipment and learn new skills. There are also many excellent restaurants where you can sample local specialities and fine wines. After sunset, the strip is very lively, with live music and entertainment venues alongside numerous nightclubs. The Parque Regional de Calblanque can be accessed from Cala Del Barco, in La Manga Club, and is one of the most characteristic natural areas in the region, combining coves, dunes, beautiful beaches, and cliffs. There are hiking and cycling routes for every level, and outdoor enthusiasts will adore this untouched coastal area.
