As you wander inside the authentic experience continues, think polished cobbled flooring, white walls contrasted against exposed wooden beams and bright finishings and furnishings.
The kitchen, any good hub of the house, is a step back in time to your Abuela’s home with colourfully patterned walling and wooden cabinetry. But most importantly, it is equipped with everything you could possibly need such as a gas hob and gas oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, coffee machine, electric kettle, mixer and toaster. All the home comforts for your holiday.
The inside is spacious, with two lounges one with a dining space to fit the whole family and the other with cable television and plenty of comfy couches. Comfort is most important in the bedrooms to ensure a good night sleep ahead of a day exploring.  This two-bedroom house features one double bedroom and another with two single beds. The two bathrooms in the house both feature single basins, while one has a toilet and the other a bath – for an evening of ultimate relaxation. One of the bathrooms is also home to a washing machine.  
The most important things are often the little touches, like air-conditioning throughout which saves you on those sweltering Spanish summer days.
Equally as picturesque is the outdoors and whether you are more fiesta or siesta there is plenty to do in a true Spanish style. The latter can be enjoyed by the private pool as the sun beams down and the pool glistens waiting for guests, young and old alike. The former can come in many shapes and sizes, perhaps enjoying local wine on the terrace or making a Spanish feast on the barbecue outside.
The enclosed garden comprises of gravel, trees and lawn and two patios, one of which is covered for days when the sun is too hot. After a day at the beach or in the pool, you can wash up, outside, with the outdoor shower. This villa has thought of everything.
All of this is located in the luscious green area of Altea, which is a quiet spot on Costa Blanca with little traffic – in other words, ultimate tranquillity. With dazzling turquoise waters and white sandy beaches, Costa Blanca is over 200 kilometres of Mediterranean coastline located in the Alicante province. Altea, which is the nearest town to the villa within four kilometres, is along the Costa Blanca part of the Mediterranean coast north of Alicante. It is one of the most charming towns along Spain’s White Coast, with a new and an old neighbourhood like many Costa Blanca towns. It is a quiet and tranquil spot, without nightclubs and bright city lights. These are, however, just 11 kilometres north in Benidorm should you desire a lively night.
Why you would want to leave is questionable though, as Altea has a climate that is an ultimate dream – winters are warmer and summers are cooler than other areas in Spain. So, whenever you want to travel, this spot is ideal. Altea is known for its greenery and vegetation and is the greenest area in this Valencian community.
There is plenty to do in the area, and exploring the old town is a must. The medieval cobbled streets suite the history buff and the old quarter looks like something out of a storybook. It is a steep ascent to the old section, so little legs may take a little while with the trip. Other activities, further afield, include heading inland to the small town of Polop for peace and quiet.
The nearest airport, Alicante, is within 100 kilometres of the villa and the second nearest airport, Valencia is over 100 kilometres away.
