Villa Llobregas Spain
Holiday Home Rental Description
The warm and inviting, honey-coloured Villa Llobregas is situated in the residential area of La Font Del Rei in Mont-ras, in the very heart of the Costa Brava. It is a newly built villa with fabulous rural style and is surrounded by nature in a little oasis between the towns of Palafrugell and Mont-Ras and the stunning beaches of Calella and Llafranc. With 4 bedrooms it sleeps 8 guests and, aside from the stunning master suite, the rooms are all on one floor.
The historic village of Mont-ras sits in the initial rise of the Gavarres hills and natural park. In the hills behind the village, there are many cork trees that contributed to the local cork-making industries. The Mont-ras plain includes the Ruta de la Petit Tren walking and cycling route linking Mont-ras with the beaches of La Fosca, Castell and Calella de Palafrugell. It is approximately 40 minutes from Girona.
Villa Llobregas is ideal for families with its huge garden and terraces. The pool is lovely and is surrounded by lush lawns. There is a wonderful covered outside lounge area and alfresco dining. It is so tranquil and calm at Villa Llobregas.
The villa is very comfortable and is modern in design but in a warm, homely way. The open plan living and dining area looks out and opens up to the garden and terrace. It is bright and cheerful with huge doors opening up. The kitchen is a great blend of country and modern with a beamed ceiling and breakfast table. There are 3 comfortable twin bedrooms on the ground floor, again with terrace and pool access. They share 2 modern, dazzling shower rooms. There is also a TV and playroom area for children or teenagers wanting a little space of their own.
The magnificent master bedroom suite is on the first floor. It has a double bed, private deluxe shower room and a living room. It boasts superb views of the garden, pool and the gorgeous Empordas landscape.
Palafrugell is a gorgeous, bustling town with a colourful, vibrant Sunday morning market. There are several good deli shops, restaurants and good supermarkets, including Lidl and Carrefour. Calella de Palafrugell has both natural beauty and plenty of entertainment. The town is famous for its Festival of Sea Shanties in July and the magnificent botanic gardens, Cap Roig, perched high on its southern tip. The tranquillity and charm that oozes from the whitewashed houses, pristine beaches and calm, crystal-clear sea create the perfect environment for enjoying a relaxing beach holiday.
There are urban beaches just moments from the town centre, dotted with colourful fishing boats and hidden coves that can be accessed by the magical Camino de Ronda hiking trail. The cove of ‘El Golfet’ is stunning with a wonderful colour palette. The Camino de Ronda hiking route was originally used to monitor the arrival of pirates. You can enjoy the route by foot or by bike, passing some of the best beaches in the area.
The nearby villages of Llafranc and Pals are definitely worth a visit. In Llafranc, the town’s sandy bay and turquoise crystalline waters are fringed with whitewashed houses and a handful of restaurants and hotels. The town was a favourite haunt of Salvador Dali. Further north from Llafranc you will reach the tranquil resort of Tamariu. It is a short drive or a breathtaking lovely walk over the cliffs from Llafranc, passing the splendid 19th century Sant Sebastia lighthouse which offers incredible views of the sea. The little village of Tamariu, named for the line of tamarisk trees that line its promenade, marks the start of a very exclusive part of the Costa Brava.
Pals is utterly charming, perched on a hill. It was built around a fortress and has kept its Medieval look so well that a visit to Pals is like travelling back in time. A number of gastronomic and cultural events are organised throughout the year. You will find an unspoilt beach, wetlands and rice fields, all part of a natural park.
The historical village features picturesque arches and doorways, usually adorned with pretty flowers. The Romanesque tower Torre de las Horas stands out. The Museu-Casa de Cultura Ca La Pruna dates back to the 15th and 16th century and is a permanent exhibition of Catalan wines and cavas. You will find some charming art galleries and pottery shops in the village.
