Located in the peaceful village of Gata, you are truly set away from the hustle and bustle of tourist life, perfect for those looking for ease and relaxation and quiet time with friends or family.
The property itself is split into two apartments, each with its own living space. This unusual layout can work perfectly for two generations of one family travelling together, or friends where everyone wants a piece of their own privacy. The first apartment boasts one large double bedroom with a king-size bed, whilst the second apartment offers both a double room and a twin room. Each of the rooms is simple and relaxed, with picture frame windows that perfectly capture the idyllic surrounding landscapes.
Each apartment has the same laid-back modern style, with tasteful furnishings and paired back colour schemes that leave the focus on the beautiful mountain views. Each offers its own open-plan living space with a well-equipped kitchen, small dining area and cosy sofas where you can rest after a busy day exploring Croatia. The larger of the two has a dining space to fit everyone, so you can gather together to enjoy delicious home-cooked feasts, although often guests opt to sit out on the terrace instead! These two welcoming living spaces also each boast tranquil balconies where you can sit and drink your morning coffee, watching the world go by.
Stepping outside, the relaxed feel of the living spaces continues out in the sunshine, with a large terrace and garden, all shared by the two apartments, so from the moment you step into the sun you can enjoy time together again as a group. There is a large heated swimming pool, exclusively for your use, with deck chairs positioned around it, encouraging you to sit back and soak in the sun. Adjacent to the pool is a lawned area, with space to play football and badminton particularly popular with kids! With a bocci-ball field and a fitness room to top it all off, there is plenty to keep you busy. Apartment Edwin is a simple and modern property situated in the peaceful village of Gata. The joy of this location means you can enjoy both the peace and tranquillity of village life, yet the bustle of Omis town is only 5km away the best of both worlds! The views from the property stretch out over the surrounding hills, with luscious trees and greenery separating you from the outside world, giving you the sense of complete privacy during your stay.
Omis itself offers open markets full of fresh produce, great restaurants, supermarkets, beautiful stone and sandy beaches as well as the river Cetina where you will find a vast array of activities on offer.
If you enjoy outdoor adventures, then the rafting, canoeing, boat trips and zip-lines that rush across the river will definitely be a popular option for you. Known for its historical pirates, you will be sure to hear about the Pirate Night tours during your stay, where locals tell you stories of the famous pirates that used to storm the village in the 13th and 14th centuries, known as the most feared pirates in the Adriatic.
A popular option for lots of our guests is to take a boat trip from Omiš to the nearest island Brač. Organised as a daily trip, you can enjoy more picturesque beaches, charming towns and maybe even the chance to snorkel and dive beneath the waters surface. Brač is well-known for its beautiful white limestone and olive oil, as well as the world-famous, Zlatni Rat Beach. Located in Bol, this stunning sandy beach is a must-visit, with lively bars and restaurants nearby the picturesque shore.
With the famous town of Split just a 30-minute drive away from the villa as well, even the most demanding tastes will be easily satisfied, famed for its delicious restaurants and rich culture. Croatia’s dining scene is known to be relaxed and welcoming, serving up delicious dishes like rich fish stews and black squid-ink risottos, as well as a variety of international cuisine! The true joy of this area is the wide variety of options, from mountains to beaches, small villages to bustling cities, historic sites to modern cultures.
