Villa Druzic Croatia
Holiday Home Rental Description
This beautiful villa was newly built in 2017 and has spectacular views of the Adriatic Sea all around. There is a gorgeous swimming pool with glittering turquoise water where guests can enjoy a leisurely dip – there’s enough space for proper swimming here. Enjoy the peaceful view of the sea and a cascading garden filled with plants and trees as you swim. There is decking surrounding the pool, and for soaking up the sun, there are loungers next to it.
The terrace has an outdoor lounge with comfortable taupe sofas and dark rattan furniture, where you can enjoy a smoothie or a glass of wine. Along the upper level of the villa, there is a balcony with furniture – a great spot to watch the sunset. A covered dining area provides the perfect spot for an alfresco meal. Guests can weave in and out of the villa with ease, thanks to the sliding doors.
The living room is extremely spacious, with a cosy mauve sofa, elegant furniture and houseplants, for a touch of greenery. Curl up and watch a movie on the TV or lose yourself in a good book. At this villa, there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained – in the games room, there is table football and a PlayStation, and outside there is table tennis to get stuck into.
There is a compact yet well-equipped kitchen with everything you could need for self-catering. Decorated all in white, the kitchen also has a dining table with matching mauve chairs. From here, there are lovely views of the pool and garden.
The bedrooms are spread over two floors, with the master bedroom on the lower floor. There are a mixture of king, queen and single beds that can be connected if required. Decorated in an uncomplicated yet fresh style, the rooms have wooden floors, neutral colours and textured blankets. The rooms have floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the views and maximise the natural light. The en-suite bathrooms are elegant in white or beige tones with walk-in showers. At night, the villa is illuminated and bathed in soothing golden light. This villa is in Omiš, a charming little town on the river Cetina with a fascinating history. The town centre is just a 10-minute walk away, and a pebbly beach is 300m from the villa. In town, there are plenty of amenities, including charismatic Dalmatian taverns, supermarkets and cafes. Made up of picturesque cobbled streets, Omiš has fortresses and churches to explore.
Omiš was once the heartland of pirates in the 12th and 13th century, who would use their boats to attack ships coming into the port. They would escape with their loot down the Cetina river where they could not be followed. You will see the pirates’ legacy and story all around the town, and in August there is a festival of activities including a Pirate Triathlon. The town’s fortress Mirabela once served as a defence for the town against the pirates.
There are several lovely beaches around Omiš, including blue-flag Velika Plaza, known as the Big Beach and Camp Galeto, which is over a kilometre long and made up of golden sand. The beaches are very family-friendly, and the sea temperature is refreshing thanks to the river. There is a shipwreck about 150m from the Big Beach which snorkellers can explore.
There are also pebble beaches close to the villa called Slavinj and Brut, shaded by swaying pine trees. These beaches are perfect for a picnic. A whole of host of activities are available to try out on the river Cetina, including rafting, watersports like paragliding and scuba diving. Another popular activity in Omiš is taking a boat trip to visit the islands of Hvar and Brač.
Take a day trip to Split, Croatia’s second-largest town, perennially popular with tourists. There is a gorgeous promenade to stroll along and plenty of historical sites to visit like the Diocletian Palace. This UNESCO-listed mausoleum has a stunning Golden Gate and Vestibule. There’s also a famous Cathedral and a charming Old Town to explore in Split.
One of the most famous attractions in the region is Krka National Park, which has seven glorious waterfalls enveloped by lush greenery. The most well-known cascades are Skradinksi Buk and Roski Slap, and there is also a tiny island called Visovak, home to a miniature 15th-century monastery. The waterfalls are so peaceful, and you can even swim in some of them. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
