Damballah is an exquisite villa, nestled in the heart of the exclusive gated community of Cap Cana. Damballah is a beautifully presented two storey villa, comprising of three bedrooms which sleep seven.
The first floor boasts a very large beautiful and majestic bedroom, complete with an impressive four poster King size bed and ornate furniture. The natural light spills into this room, creating a golden theme that makes this regel room even more special. This bedroom expands into a huge bathroom, complete with a grand sunken Jacuzzi bath with garden views.
The main living room area boasts panoramic doors spanning across the length of the villa, which provides incredible views of the garden area. This area is dripping with luxury, as it is adorned with marble floors and dramatic natural lighting. There is a large seating area and television for guests to enjoy, which is equally spacious and light. The area is complete with a kitchen equipped with everything you need, as well as a comfortable and relaxing dining area that seats up to six people. Upstairs are two further large bedrooms with their own bathroom, each as beautifully decorated as the next.
Moving outside, you will be greeted by a huge swimming pool accessed by sweeping stairs and peppered with sunbeds and seating to relax, as well a gazebo covering an outside dining area. A tropical island located a short distance from the mainland on the south-east tip of the Dominican Republic, which is a protected nature reserve and is a popular destination for tourists from all over the Dominican Republic, who arrive in fleets of catamarans & small motorboats on organized excursions every day. The Island is known for its beaches and has been used on a number of occasions by film-makers, who are looking for that stereotypical “Deserted Island” setting.
In search of some cultural experiences? We recommend a visit to Altos de Chavon, which is a modern-day artist’s village that resembles a 16th Century Mediterranean town. It is set upon a spectacular hillside cliff overlooking the winding Chavon River. The town is home to a 5000-seat amphitheatre, an archaeological museum, craft workshops, artists’ studios and an assortment of galleries and restaurants.
If you love seafood, visit Captain Cook where the locals have declared it the ‘best lobster in town’. With a huge open grill and enormous platters, it is hard for sea food lovers not to enjoy this beach-side restaurant. Alternately, guests won’t be disappointed if they pay a visit to Bamboo Bar.
