This beautiful house is wonderfully located just two hours from London in Ringwood forest, one mile from the Dorset/Hampshire border. It is the perfect getaway destination without having to get on a plane!
Built in 1794 by leading architect Samuel Wyatt, Forest Court until recently was a model farm built as part of the Somerley estate. Now modernised and beautifully presented it has a private terrace overlooking the most spectacular sunken Italian garden (which is shared with the residents of the other properties, and we respectfully ask that all clients respect this tranquil space which is used by the others as a peaceful haven to relax and meditate in) and orchards with miles of woodlands stretching out to the horizon. The interior has been tastefully decorated in the Georgian style with large elegant rooms and exquisite finishing touches.
With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms Forest Court is perfect for those looking to sit back and relax in the evenings, breathing in the lavender scented air and listening to the birds. The house is totally immersed in the forest, where guests can enjoy a lovely day cycling down the country paths or taking long leisurely strolls. If guests feel like exploring a little more then the wonderful Bournemouth is just down the road with its famous seaside attractions.** Forest Court can accommodate a further two extra guests by using a comfortable and large sofa bed downstairs**Forest Court is located in Ringwood Forest but has the advantage of being only 9 minutes’ drive down the B3081 straight into the centre of Ringwood where guests will find everything they need for their stay and plenty of shops and restaurants.
Verwood is only 4 miles down the road, and a path through the forest will take you directly in to the village where you will find a selection of small shops, a newsagency, post office and traditional butcher.
There are also a few Gastropubs in the area, fishing opportunities, a water sports center and riding center.
The beautiful 7-mile beach of Bournemouth is only a 30 min drive away and offers a hopping nightlife, great restaurants and water sports a-plenty. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
