Tucked right on the sea-front, overlooking the beach, Aldeburgh Beach House is a unique and exceptional property for eight incredibly lucky guests with a hot tub, steam room and private gym!
From the outset, this home is striking! The exterior is vast, white and magnificent, and invites the onlooker to enter and experience the detail in the design. The dazzling interior design is as impressive as it is luxurious – with each corner of the vast open plan ground floor embodying a style, a mood and an era! In the first living room there is a set of cosy leather sofas around the wood burner and TV, while the second living room encompasses a more eclectic vibe, with patchwork sofas and an electric fireplace. The heart of the home may be the fabulous centrally positioned kitchen, complete with a large central island which doubles as a breakfast bar and all the mod cons you could wish for! An indeed, a wine fridge to keep the chef happy! Along one side of the wall is a large set of French doors which welcome in the warm glow of daylight! There’s a small breakfast table here, as well as a formal dining area for eight to one side.
And what’s more, head down a storey to really experience the extraordinary luxury of this exceptional home! You’ll find your very own hot tub and steam room for the ultimate relaxation on the lower ground floor. Alongside this is a majestic state of the art cinema room with surround sound and a vast collection of movies. Finally, a gym and yoga space for keeping in shape and working off those extra holiday treats!
On the ground floor there is the first of four bedrooms, the delightful king-size bedroom with a dazzling ensuite wet room. Upstairs you’ll find the super-king master suite, with immediate access to the central roof terrace for uninterrupted sea views, shared with another king-size bedroom. The final room also features a king-size bed, and the same crisp, clean designs. All three upstairs bedrooms feature ensuite bathrooms with a range of indulgent facilities including free-standing bathtubs and rain-showers.
In addition to your fabulous roof-terrace with sun-loungers, you can enjoy a courtyard with a BBQ for those delightful sunny days! Placed right on Aldeburgh’s Crag Path, everything you could possibly wish for is just a short walk away, including the beach, shops, restaurants and much more! Nestled on the east coast of England, just over an hour from London, Suffolk is a fabulously peaceful, rural county with miles of sandy beaches and magnificent views!
Starting at its southern border with Essex and stretching all the way to Lowestoft and the Norfolk coast, the 50 miles stretch of enchanting and often wild coastline of Suffolk has a little something for everyone! With charming villages, medieval towns and exquisite natural beauty all set against breath-taking skies it is a true feast for the eyes!
The dazzling town of Aldeburgh itself, with its highly distinctive architecture, colourful boats and fresh-fish shacks stretching along the beach, is as unique as it is charming.
World-renowned for its connection with Benjamin Britten, born in nearby Lowestoft but who spent the last 30 or so years of his life living here, Aldeburgh is believed to have inspired many of the works by the prolific composer.
The impressive four-metre high ‘Scallop’ on the town’s Blue Flag beach is inscribed with the words ‘I hear those voices that will not be drowned’ from Britten’s famous opera Grimes which stand out against the glow of the Suffolk sky. You can even visit The Red House which Britten stayed in until his death in 1976 for an informal snapshot of the life he led here.
In nearby Thorpeness you can hire a boat and row blissfully in and around the little islands of the 3ft-deep lake for a quaint day out with the family.
