Ashlett Cottage holds a one-of-a-kind location on the waterside in the historic hamlet of Ashlett Creek, with only a handful of buildings here there is the opportunity for plenty of peace and quiet. The handy position of The Jolly Sailor pub, almost next door, is well regarded and excellent for those not wanting to spend all their time in the kitchen!
The cottage, which was once two semi-detached cottages, has been beautifully refurbished and now boasts modern interiors while still retaining some of its special charm. Due to the renovation, the ground floor entertaining space has been transformed into a much more practical area for families. The kitchen runs the width of the house meaning it is the perfect spot for the whole family to cook and dine together, the two sittings rooms mean that then adults can have a more grown-up space and the kids have a more relaxed TV room too! Also on this level is the bunk bed room, sleeping up to four guests, it is ideally suited for the younger members of the group as well as a family bathroom. Heading upstairs, there are two double bedrooms, one of which comes complete with en-suite single/cot room as well as a second family bathroom.
Outside, there is half an acre of gardens to explore, backing on to a paddock there is plenty of privacy, the only neighbours are the ponies looking for apples! The patio which comes complete with dining facilities is perfect for summer al fresco meals or simply a lovely space for a morning cup of coffee.Ashlett Cottage is situated in the small hamlet of Ashlett Creek, close to the village of Fawley, where handy amenities can be found. The small town of Hythe is just slightly further along and boasts a wider selection of amenities as well as the famous pier complete with railway. For serious shopping, Southampton is the place to go and is just half an hour from your front door. The cottage is situated within the New Forest National Park and so is perfect for those wanting to expore the wonderful landscape. Popular with families, Lepe Country Park is just ten minutes away and makes a great day out, with a beach, nature reserve, walking trails, sensory garden and an impressive play area there is something for everyone.
