Villa Asomada Spain

Luxury Villas
| 3 Bedrooms|

Rental Description

Complete with gorgeous ocean view, the 3-bedroom Villa Asomada is the ideal family villa, and just 8km from Lanzarote Airport. A stunning terrace can be found poolside, the perfect location for a day of relaxing in the sun or lounging in the shade.
In a quiet village just 10 minutes’ drive from the resort of Puerto del Carmen, Villa Asomada has wonderful white sands within easy reach. The village itself is home to a tapas bar, and the island’s incredible volcanic terrain provides great opportunities for walks, with your camera in hand, of course.
Inside the villa, rustic and contemporary furnishings combine to create an inviting feel. You have three double bedrooms – the master features a four-poster bed, en suite bathroom and a balcony with wonderful views of the sea and the mountains. There is family bathroom and a shower room, as well as a games room with billiards table, dart board and the like – there’s room to put two fold-out beds in here to accommodate younger guests.
More entertainment is provided with free Wi-Fi, a Wii games console and multi-channel TV in a variety of languages. The covered terrace area also features a ping-pong table, a few steps away from a collection of sun loungers and a large barbecue. There is also a dining area with table and chairs, which enjoys some shade will offering a delightful sea view.
There’s plenty to do in nearby Puerto del Carmen, with the popular beaches of Playa Grande, Playa Chica and Matagorda, and shops, restaurants and nightlife lining the Avenida de las Playas. If you’re a water-sports fan, the scuba-diving and snorkelling is recommended. For a family day out, the Rancho Texas Theme Park has a water park and plenty of wildlife to see, and the island is also great for golfers, with the nearest course less than 5km from Villa Asomada.Constantly sunny, the island of Lanzarote boasts dramatic landscapes and beautiful beaches. The closest of the Canaries to Africa, it also enjoys the most consistent climate of them all, averaging 17°C  in winter and 24°C in the summer.
A visit to Timanfaya National Park in the south of the island provides a breathtakingly scenic introduction to the volcanic character of the island. The mighty eruptions of the 1730s left around 25% of the island submerged under a sea of solid lava.
Possibly the island’s most famous son, the artist, architect and sculptor, César Manrique, defined the route through the park which takes in a number of colourful volcanoes, and even designed the restaurant, El Diablo, which can be found on top of the Islote de Hilario, which itself provides some incredible panoramic views. Manrique’s influence is found all over Lanzarote – it is largely his responsibility that tourism on the island developed within certain aesthetic guidelines, without spoiling the island’s landscape, and respecting its customs and traditions.
Except for one hotel building in Arrecife, all buildings on the island are low-rise – “not taller than a Canarian palm” – and you won’t find any advertising hoardings at the roadsides. What you will find are fascinating wind mobiles and sculptures and pretty villages in a symphony of white and green.
You won’t have to look far to find a great beach on Lanzarote, with almost 100 to choose from. The main resorts of Puerto del Carmen, Playa Blanca and Costa Teguise include some which were created for visitors using Saharan sands, but if you prefer the real thing, there are plenty of natural ones. Perhaps one of the most interesting is the so-called ‘Burnt Beach’ of Playa Quemada, with its black sands, while Papagayo is rated as one of the most scenic on the island – go via water-taxi from Playa Blanca and see for yourself.
