Rental Description

In a tranquil corner of Western burgundy, surrounded by hills and woodland, is the charming and authentic Pavillon de Chasse, a holiday home full of character and warmth. Whether you are wanting to discover the region’s wines, explore local villages and market towns or relax in this quiet and rural setting, this is a great location near some of Burgundy’s most fascinating attractions.
Pavillon de Chasse offers ample space with seven bedrooms across both the main house and two further guesthouses in the grounds. Throughout you can feel the old-world atmosphere of this rustic home with many characterful features such as wood beamed ceilings and original flooring. The bright, open living space is inviting and leads to a particularly well equipped kitchen and stairs lead to pretty bedrooms on either side of the house, one on a mezzanine level above its own sitting room.
Outside the swimming pool is the perfect place to cool down after a day out exploring or fire-up the poolside barbecue to dine al-fresco with family and friends. There are beautiful views of the countryside from the vast and private gardens where you are surrounded by lush lawns and shady trees.
Within 5km you can be in the charming village of Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, famous for its pottery with many workshops still thriving. You’ll find a lovely patisserie and a couple of restaurants here or head to one of the other local towns such as Saint-Fargeau with its magnificent castle or Toucy with its picturesque weekly market on a Saturday morning.
Exploring further afield will take you to charming villages and market towns such as Sancerre with its fine wines, Briare on the banks of the Loire or a little further to the famous hilltop town of Vézelay.
