Casa Miramar is a stunning beachfront villa located in Tulum Mexico that accommodates up to ten guests across five beautifully decorated bedrooms, all boasting en-suite facilities. This luxurious villa is located in an elevated position looking out over white sands and azure seas, just a short walk from Tulum’s famous Mayan ruins, and some of the town’s best known restaurants.
Upon arrival guests will be struck by the tropical surroundings and tall palms, as well as incredible sundrenched seating areas and poolside loungers, perfect for entertaining, or simply kicking back with a cocktail or two while listening to the waves crash on the shore. The palapa living room is a sight to behold – glass fronted so that you won’t miss a second of the breathtaking views, and featuring a plush circular sofa area, chunky wooden furniture and contemporary lighting fixtures. The whole villa makes the most of locally sourced raw material in its decor, with woven artworks and rugs, lush greenery in the indoor hanging baskets, and handsomely crafted furniture in richly polished wood. The well-equipped kitchen is equally stylish, with a carved stone central island that doubles as a handy breakfast bar, and carved wooden units. There is a large modern stove, as well as American-style fridge-freezer, coffee grinder, coffee machine, and blender, as well as plenty of spacious areas to prepare food and to store anything else you might need.
Casa Miramar features 5 incredibly light and airy bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, and all offering spectacular ocean and jungle views. The decor is kept neutral in shades of white and cream, with accents of colour coming through in the bright artworks of tropical flowers and palm trees that adorn the walls. Each bedroom boasts a king-size bed and air conditioning, with the master bedroom featuring access to a private palapa – perfect for relaxing with a morning cuppa or a glass of something sparkling on a balmy evening. All of the en-suite rooms have modern walk in shower facilities, and feature a range of Mayan-inspired toiletries for guests to enjoy. Despite its quiet and laid back vibe, Tulum still benefits from being within easy distance of some of the more cosmopolitan areas, where visitors can experience some of the bars and clubs that Mexico is known for. Snorkelling, swimming, and diving are all popular activities with those staying in the area, thanks to the clear, calm waters; as is dozing in the hammocks between the palms, or lazing on the white powdery sand. The area has a slow-paced beach vibe, and guests will enjoy quiet sunset strolls along the sand, spotting the iguanas and sea turtles that call the area home.
Despite its relatively whirlwind development the area hasn’t lost its charm, and visitors come here for its beautiful beaches, perfect weather, and welcoming ambience. Perhaps the most well-known attraction in the peninsula, and right on your doorstep if you are a guest at Casa Miramar, are the incredible 1200 year old Mayan ruins. This famous attraction is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and really does need to be seen to be believed. The area is large, and is an ensemble of many greatly preserved ruins, not just the one pyramid that ends up in the guidebooks and on Instagram, so you’ll need a good couple of hours set aside to discover everything without rushing.
