Located at the end of a private road, Villa Alicia is only 20 minutes from Malaga Airport. The fully renovated house sits beside plenty of outdoor space, with a large patio, table tennis, barbecue and dining area waiting for you. A cabana with bar lines up next to the lengthy 12m heated swimming pool, and you will also find a small orchard in the grounds, filled with orange, lemon, grapefruit and mango trees – a real delight for the senses.
Inside, you’ll discover a large living room with an open fireplace, comfy seating area with TV, and stunning views. A fully refurbished kitchen with high-quality Smeg appliances – including a huge fridge freezer and range-style oven – is an inviting place to spend time, and leads to a traditional Spanish dining area. This, in turn, leads you to the large balcony where the sunshine lasts all day.There are five bedrooms and four bathrooms in Villa Alicia. Two of the bedrooms have their private balconies, and each room features beautiful solid wood furnishings and wooden or tiled floors. This villa has, even more, treats in store, with a gym inside and hot tub outside ready to move you from exertion to blissful relaxation. You can even admire the beautiful ocean view as you are working out.
Villa Alicia has the location on its side, with a host of restaurants, bars and shops within a 20-minute walk. Mijas is pretty enough to be well worth a visit even without them, and you are sure to be charmed by its peaceful character and traditions.
You will be well-placed to enjoy a round of golf or two at one of Nuevo Andalucia’s many courses to the south of Mijas or to spend the day in vibrant Fuengirola just 20 minutes away. With other coastal favourites like Marbella, Puerto Banus, Torremolinos and Malaga all within around 30 minutes, the options for lazy days on the beach are near endless, while the mountainous terrain of the Sierra de las Nieves a little further inland provides the perfect contrast. 2965A traditional Andalucian white village, Mijas Pueblo is an enchanting place to enjoy the sunshine of the Costa del Sol. Its cobbled streets and carefree vibe make it irresistible to many, and the elevated position, tucked away in the mountains, has made it a popular hideaway for writers and artists. You will find beautiful, locally made crafts and original paintings for sale in the village shops.It’s hard to believe Mijas is only 10 minutes from the much larger and more developed Fuengirola, not to mention within easy reach of Malaga and Marbella, but the variety of this corner of Spain is one of its charms. Whatever you seek, you are likely to find it not too far away, including excellent restaurants, quiet cafés, beaches, golf courses and nightlife. The scenery is spectacular too, whether you prefer to spend your days looking out on the Med or hiking in the Sierra de Mijas.
