Villa Kolios Bay is one of two wonderful, newly built villas situated on the hillside in the peaceful Kolios area of the island of Skiathos. With stunning sea views of Kolios Bay, Villa Kolios is a tranquil, beautiful haven where you can relax and enjoy a very special Greek holiday. The villa has two stunning bedrooms, each complete with a whirlpool bath, so is ideal for four guests though the living area boasts a super comfy sofa bed which is available for an extra two guests.
Skiathos is just 2.4 miles from the coast of South Pelion and 4 miles from the beautiful island of Skopelos. It boasts sublime scenery and more than 60 breathtaking beaches. The south of the island has been developed for tourists though the north remains wild and natural. Kolios is a quiet resort, 6 km away from the buzzy centre of Skiathos Town and 6 km away from the most famous beach of Skiathos, Koukounaires Beach.
The two villas in the complex are built in a stunning, lush location surrounded by olive trees and with an astounding view of Kolios Bay and the Aegean Sea. These supreme villas are built and designed using quality materials and impressive style. They are superbly comfortable. Whilst both villas are modern, Villa Kolios Bay has been decorated and furnished in a classic style. It offers a warm and homely ambience and is the perfect base to explore this gorgeous island.
The outside space of Villa Kolios Bay is excellent with a beautiful swimming pool, sunbathing deck with sun loungers and parasols, alfresco dining, barbecue, alfresco lounge area, lush lawns, a beautiful garden and balconies for each of the bedrooms. You can pick up your holiday read by the pool while admiring the stunning views and enjoying the peace.
The living, kitchen and dining area is open-plan. The furnishings are wonderful, and the room is so light and airy. The two bedrooms upstairs boast luxurious whirlpool baths, fabulous beds with ecological and orthopaedic mattresses and sea view balconies. There are three excellent bathrooms with fantastic rain forest showers. Deluxe bath products, bathrobes and slippers are provided.
Guests are treated to a warm welcome of traditional Greek pies, fresh fruit, juices, water and wine as soon as they arrive at Villa Kolios Bay. Excellent Concierge services are available during your stay including the delivery of supermarket supplies, daily breakfast and private chef services, extra cars and scooters, boat rental and private boat trips, babysitting and personal training. Skiathos is a paradise island in the turquoise Aegean Sea. The island has a length of 12 km and a width of 9 km. Skiathos is one of the most scenic and verdant of the Greek islands. Skiathos Town is the heart of the island, 6 km from the villa. The mountainous terrain and wild beaches of the northern coast are spectacular to explore with incredible panoramic views. Mountain biking is very popular. Walking is also wonderful. In particular, you can visit many Byzantine churches and monasteries including Kounistras Monastery in the hills behind Troulos and the Evangelistria Monastery, a haven for revolutionaries during the war for independence against the Turks.
Kolios Bay is a lovely, quiet bay with two tavernas, sun loungers and parasols. Pine woods edge it, so there is plenty of shade. The larger beaches of Vromolimnos and Platanias are either side of it. Kolios is on the bus route so you can take a bus to Koukounaires, Skiathos Town or anywhere in between if you do not want to take the car. There are over 60 stunning golden beaches in total. Banana Beach is the island’s only naturist beach. It is fantastic and very sheltered. The iconic Lalaria Beach is only accessible by excursion boat from Skiathos harbour. There are all types of watersports found at most of the beaches.The pretty, whitewashed, cosmopolitan Skiathos Town is spread over two hills on the south-east coast. It is fantastic for designer shopping, dining, partying and star-spotting. There are two huge yacht marinas brimming with luxury yachts and a fantastic gourmet dining scene. At night time, Skiathos becomes the Mykonos of the Sporades. As well as trendy cocktail bars and superb restaurants, the town is also full of souvlaki shops, fast food shops, tavernas and cafes.
It is very easy to get around the island, either taking the bus, driving or hiring bikes, mopeds and scooters. There are also many boat excursions to visit the most photographed beaches, the caves of Galatzia, Halikini and Skotini, Skopelos, Alonisos and the Marine Park. There are also many diving schools where you can explore the underwater life in the Sporades group of islands. The island and Skopelos are very popular with Mamma Mia fans.
