Formerly a country house hotel, this impressive lodge is now offered as a boutique self-catering holiday house in the shadow of Schiehallion. Set in 17 acres of delightful grounds with a sloping lawn and mixed woodlands, it enjoys a southerly aspect with stunning views over picturesque Perthshire. With 9 expansive bedrooms, the property sleeps up to 20 guests, (18 adults and 2 children). With a large living space, impressive drawing room, elegant dining room and country kitchen all on the ground floor, all the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the two floors above.
To the side of the house is an 8-person hot tub, which enjoys the fine views to the front. The owners live in a separate adjoined section of the house which is private with a separate drive. There is parking for between 10 – 12 cars. This is a comfortable large house with lots of space, which is perfect for families, wedding guests and holiday-makers to get-together to enjoy quality family time, relax before a wedding, or to enjoy their holiday.
On entering by the front door entrance, this takes you into a multi-purpose living space which is known as the media centre, with a seating area with TV on one side and the former bar and further seating on the other side of this room. Beyond is the impressive dining room and then onto the large drawing-room. Here you will find a bright modern looking room with plenty of comfortable seating and an open fire. Outside to the side of the building is an 8-person hot tub, which is great fun for all the family. The dining room is situated to the front of the building, in-between the living space and the drawing-room. This long room with a long dining table comfortably seats up to 18 people, and with an additional table, up to 24 people can be seated here.
The kitchen is located opposite to the rear of the building and is a commercial-style kitchen which has been modernised to become more of a country kitchen. With a Fisher & Paykel double oven with gas hobs and a Fisher and Paykel fridge freezer, this is a stylish kitchen, which along with two dishwashers and further commercial upright fridge freezers, is a practical kitchen. With plenty of workspace on the work-island and surfaces, it is a joy to create fine meals here. Next door is a small breakfasting room, whilst a utility room and two cloakrooms are also available.
The house is heated by a biomass wood boiler, and it runs on a constant basis so you should always be warm. It’s thermostatically controlled so can be adjusted to suit individual guest needs. The majority of bedrooms are fitted with electric heaters which can be turned off or controlled by the thermostat fitted to the heater. Set within 17 acres of grounds with a large sloped lawn to the front with plenty of parking to the side of the lodge.  
Situated in West Perthshire, 2.5 miles from the delightful artisan town of Aberfeldy, set in a country location.
In Aberfeldy, there are shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as the Dewars World of Whisky visitor centre.  Activities include an 18-hole golf course in Aberfeldy, whilst white water rafting and fishing on the Tay are available.
Nearby, there is the Scottish Crannog Centre, Blair Castle and Castle Menzies to visit.
