With a glorious azure pool that extends right up to the villa and with an outdoor terrace that overlooks tropical gardens, those who love to spend time outdoors will certainly not be disappointed with Villa Gaadhi. Contemporary and chic, this suite is designed to capture the essence of a tropical getaway. The exteriors are decorated in white with a beautifully curved archway entrance and an island-style thatched roof.
There are shallow steps all around the villa, so you can soak up your surroundings in style as you take a cooling bath in the pool. A square of manicured lawn provides space to sunbathe, while the poolside pergola is the perfect space to cool off from the tropical sun. There’s a day bed here to curl up and gaze out at your dreamy garden setting that stretches out to the Andaman Sea.
The dreamy bedrooms are decorated in neutral tones of taupe and white. Huge, comfortable beds are ideal for sinking into after a long day exploring and little details like the yellow and white flower arrangement add a homely, fresh touch. Both rooms have their own matching bamboo sofa with cosy white cushions and distressed freestanding wardrobes.
One room has pool views, and the other has a lush garden. The master room has a stunning filigree wood screen above the bed and a gorgeous French style dresser. Outside on the balcony, enjoy the circular day bed, decorated with ikat print cushions and shaded by a thatched roof. Stretch out and admire the views with a morning coffee.
Ensuite bathrooms within the suite are suitably luxurious, with carved natural stone sinks, a gorgeous mosaic tiled mirror and an alfresco freestanding bathtub. The bathtub is shaded by a row of plants for privacy.
Decked out in distressed wood with caramel tones that warm the pale furniture, the living space is a fresh, inviting space. A bamboo sofa with plush white cushions provides the perfect space to relax and enjoy some indoor time. The room is complete with a flatscreen television and glass doors open out to allow the room to be bathed in light. Villa Gaadhi is tucked away on the Andaman Coast, with sparkling turquoise waters and endless white-sand beaches. Ideal for nature lovers, Khao Lak, has mountains that rise above several national parks and valleys that dip into lush forestry. The private villa is within a resort, so guests enjoy the best of both worlds – you’ll have your own pool and space but can access the amenities around the resort such as the fitness centre and spa. There’s also a fantastic communal pool with sea views and two levels, and many international and local dining options.
For those who love to stay in shape when they are on holiday, the gym is well equipped with high spec equipment and lots of floor space for workouts. There’s an elliptical, treadmill and suspension machine alongside much more. Outside, the scenery is beautiful so guests can enjoy views even while they are exercising. Additional pieces like exercise balls are available, and bicycle rentals are perfect for getting around the resort and beyond.
Thailand’s spas are legendary, and you don’t even have to leave the resort to enjoy an amazing Thai massage from talented spa therapists. At the Genesis restaurant, enjoy all-day poolside dining with healthy salads and snacks and freshly grilled seafood. There’s a beach bar which also serves casual dining options like sandwiches and tasty desserts. However, it’s most famous for its outstanding sunset cocktails with a view. A truly special option is the Chef on the Move, where guests can enjoy surprise dishes on outdoor poolside picnic tables.
Khao Lak is a great choice for a peaceful holiday in the south of Thailand. It is only two hours from Krabi and quieter than Phuket, which is just one hour south. Khao Lak has the captivating beaches and relaxed vibes of its more popular island counterparts without the crowds. It also has the convenience of being on the mainland, easily accessible by road and by plane from either Phuket or Krabi.
The gorgeous beaches are the most famous attraction in this region – near the resort is mesmerising Khao Lak South Beach, which is tucked between the mountains and the gorgeous turquoise sea. Tranquil and lovely, this white sand beach is just a few minutes away from the resort. For a more lively atmosphere, head to Bang Niang beach which has fantastic swimming and snorkelling thanks to the crystalline water. Sunsets are particularly beautiful at this beach headed to one of the beach bars for a front-row seat. Afterwards, head to Bang Niang night market.
Khao Lak has a museum dedicated to the people who lost their lives in the Boxing Day tsunami of 2004.  This small museum displays photographs and stories, as well as a local police boat. Khao Lak was one of the areas hit hardest by the tsunami and tourism here helps to support local people. The perfect jumping-off point to visit the nearby Surin or Similan Islands, Khao Lak has many boat trips on offer.
Enjoy some of the best scuba diving in the world on these islands, or go snorkelling to spot exotic fish and colourful coral. On the Surin islands, you might spot wild dolphins, sea turtles or reef sharks.
