A grand building perched over azure waters and set against lush tropical landscape, Villa Aicul will wow guests with its spacious interior, flooded with natural light from many of the French windows that let the St Lucian sun stream in. This delightful villa also benefits from a separate guest cottage, for those requiring a little more privacy. The remaining four double bedrooms are all finished in lovely neutral shades with traditional wooden furniture to complement the villa’s relaxed Caribbean style. And with all rooms affording the luxury of French windows out onto a sun-drenched terrace area, you can invite the cool Atlantic breeze in to refresh you on the hottest of St Lucian days.
The outdoor space here at Villa Aicul optimises its fantastic location high up on a hillside, with panoramic verandas from which to enjoy a sundown cocktail or two overlooking both the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Also, within easy reach by car, you’ll find beautiful Pigeon Island only 4km west of the villa and vibrant Rodney Bay with its bustling marina and variety of bars and restaurants just 6km south.
Pigeon Island National Park, a picturesque 44-acre national landmark, boasts a beautiful white sandy beach set amongst spectacular scenery. After soaking up the glorious St Lucian sunshine and swimming in the azure waters of the Caribbean, you can visit the museum or climb to the vantage point of the historic Fort Rodney for some truly breath-taking views, including that of the stunning neighbouring island of Martinique.
For family fun head to Reduit Beach just south of Pigeon Island, where a wide variety of waters ports will keep both big and little kids amused. While banana boats whiz across the water, beach front bars pump out lively music, so you can enjoy a rum punch or two to quench your thirst. Reduit Beach is also home to Splash Island Water Park, a great afternoon’s activity for kids of all ages.
Reduit Beach sits just outside the vibrant town of Rodney Bay, just a ten-minute drive away from Villa Aicul. Renowned for its bustling nightlife and attractive marina bursting with glamorous supersized yachts, you’ll find plenty to do in the hustle and bustle it exudes. Shop till you drop at The Baywalk Mall, take a table at the glitzy casino or just enjoy the huge variety of restaurants offering a plethora of Caribbean culinary delights.
For a more relaxed and authentic St Lucian vibe however, head over to Gros Islet just a few minutes from Rodney Bay, where the historic streets are lined with rum shops and fishing shacks draped with drying nets, and the sound of reggae can always be heard day and night. Delve into freshly cut coconut, BBQ chicken and freshly caught cod, and party the night away at a Jump Up – the fabulous rum infused street parties this area is famous for.
