The Georgian Estate dates back to 1646 when it was home to one of Scotland’s oldest clans, the Lamonts. With lavish entertaining spaces and stately four-postered bedrooms, the estate is a sumptuous base for exploring the stunning local scenery of Argyll’s Secret Coast. Nearby, there are opportunities for wildlife spotting, deer, red squirrels, buzzards, otters and even basking sharks have all been spotted. There is also the chance to enjoy the rich history the area is steeped in through visiting one of the many ancient sites, castles or ruins.
Restaurant and shopping amenities can be found in the thriving market town of Dunoon which is only a short distance away. There’s a lovely 9 hole golf course in the village which offers panoramic views across the water to the Island of Bute. A wider selection of amenities can be found in the market/ harbour town of Dunoon 45km away, the nearest ferry port can also be found there.
The Estate is located near Loch Lomond National Park, a popular spot for cyclists and walkers who enjoy the striking and varied scenery.
