Built at the end of the 19th century, the Chateau has retained the style of this period with the passing of time. Moving through the numerous rooms, furnished and decorated with a traditional style, you will be amazed by its ornamental fireplaces, its wide open spaces and its sophistication, perfectly representing the Italian prestige of the era.
The Mas lies just 50 meters from the Château. In a more rustic style, it will win you over with its Provençal charm combining character, simplicity and and warmth. With its vast living room equipped with a pool table, its large dining room and kitchen, its five bedrooms and bathrooms, up to 12 people can enjoy this welcoming and peaceful retreat.
Right in the heart of the Crau region, in a unique environment between the Camargue region and the Alpilles mountains, lies La Bastide Oliver. Step into this exceptional property set in 300 hectares of land, and at the end of a sycamore-bordered lane, more than a 100-year old, fall under the spell of this magnificent 19th century Italian chateau and its traditional Provençal mas.
You benefit from hotel standard services such as laundry, bed linen, towels, a welcome basket, cosmetic products, concierge services, and a complimentary cleaning service, 2 hours daily. Services available: grocery shopping, transfers from/to the train station or the airport, homemade Provençal cooking and home service from the chef.
Part of the chateau is occupied by the concierge. It cannot be accessed to where guests are staying.
La Bastide Oliver boasts an exceptional setting, the property is located in the Crau region, which is both protected and unique in France, made up of steppes with a huge range of flora and fauna. It’s the perfect place to go for a stroll.
Offering varying climates and different types of terrain, the regions surrounding the Crau are also awe-inspiring and varied. In the west you’ll find la Camargue, the amazing watery land where you can discover on horseback the charms of the marshes, forests and rice fields. To the north les Alpilles rise up, a range of little mountains where you’ll enjoy hiking amongst rivers, canals, olive groves and outcrops of white rock. Lovers of urban tourism, however, will not be out of step. The region includes cultural, historical and architectural treasures. Just kilometres away lie some of the most beautiful villages in France like Baux de Provence or Saint Rémy de Servanne, or lose yourself in the old town of Arles, famous for its Roman and Romanesque buildings, in world heritage sites, such as les Arènes, or for its little Provençal streets. A dozen kilometres further away, discover Aix en Provence, capital of Provence, city of a thousand fountains, Avignon, its colour-filled festival and the majestic Popes’ palace, Marseille, the multi-cultural European capital of culture, or even Montpellier, with its exceptionally well-preserved city center. From a practical perspective, just minutes away you can find all the little shops you need for everyday living (supermarket, bakery, etc.) The local gastronomy, strong in flavour and in colour, will make its way onto your plate in any one of the numerous charming regional restaurants.
