The villa’s facade is alluring; the smart monochrome exterior is executed with gentle lines, ample balcony and terrace space, with low sloping roof and such an easy and natural charisma. Floor to ceiling glass dominates both storeys, meaning the indoors and outdoors seamlessly fuse, creating such a calm aura of stillness and seclusion.
Built in the fifties, designed by Wright and Neutra, recently renovated, there is a sweeping driveway leading to where this hidden gem is nestled in its forest side location.
Dripping with fifties charm and glamour, the living space is a chic affair; essentially monochrome in a palette, with polished parquet flooring, every detail has been thoughtfully executed. The grand exposed brick fireplace, enormous cream L-shaped sofa and zebra print throw create a very seductive evening atmosphere, ideal for relaxation after a long day out sightseeing. From every angle, natural light pours in – the living room leads directly onto the balcony, with its woodland views.
The dining space is light, spacious and ever so stylish – accents of pillar box red break up the monochrome; stunning lighting creates a sublime atmosphere of laid-back style. The dark timber polished dining table, and eight cream chairs offer an ideal scene for dinner parties or family meals. The kitchen offers a glossy, sleek and minimalist tone, offset by bright red bar stools. Complete with brushed steel work surfaces and breakfast bar, this space offers the best in Italian design.
The bedrooms are utterly sumptuous, fished with the lightest touch – flawlessly stylish, in muted and soft creams and dove greys with natural timber, designer lighting and the very best in cotton bed linen. This is a buzzing nightlife spot, known for its array of designer Italian boutiques; it is an enchanting little place, one of the most trendy seaside resorts Tuscany has to offer. With a fascinating history, Forte Dei Marni is known worldwide for its incredible quality marble – today it is popular among national and International celebrities.
Seven miles of fine sandy beach, set by the pine forests make the beaches sumptuous, as well as having the option for many luxury pool clubs. The old jetty offers a taste of traditional life, with locals fishing.
Ferry trips, wonderful lively restaurants and piazza life, the bustling and colourful weekly street market (Wednesdays), there is no end of fun activities for visitors to indulge in when visiting the region.
