La Tania, nestled between Courchevel and Meribel, is a postcard-perfect ski village offering access to the expansive Three Valleys ski area. Bars, eateries, shops, and educational facilities abound. The village centre, designed traffic-free for the 1992 Winter Olympics, is perfect for families. A quick gondola ride reveals the ski area’s 600 kilometres of slopes – 183 blue/green, 119 red, and 33 black runs, all against a snow-capped backdrop. Beyond skiing, enjoy sledging, night skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and paragliding. As the snow melts, the mountains offer biking, trekking, tennis, clay pigeon shooting, swimming, and paragliding. Courchevel and Meribel’s vibrant centres are a short drive away.

On the lower floor, three twin bedrooms with en-suite showers await, along with a separate annexe with a double bedroom. Rich wood and luxurious linens adorn each room. Ascending to the upper level, a twin-bedroom suite and inviting living spaces unfold. A captivating wooden-beamed ceiling sets the scene, where carved sofas and a log-burning stove provide comfort. The resort is the newest, enjoying a good selection of shops, bars, restaurants, ski hire shops and ski facilities. Its traffic-free centre is so pretty, and the chalets and apartments are surrounded by spruce forests. The village lies at the foot of blue and green runs, and good skiers can even ski through the forest off-piste to return to the chalet later in the day.
As well as skiing, there is a good range of winter and summer entertainment in La Tania, including snowshoeing, sledging, night skiing, cross-country skiing through the trees, paragliding and much more. The entertainment of Courchevel and Meribel is easily accessible too. If you fancy dancing the night away or partying until the early hours in a lively apres-ski bar, all is possible. There are good facilities for children too, with a nursery centre for young ones aged four months to five years and a Piou Piou skiing kindergarten for three to five-year-olds.
There is a good range of restaurants in La Tania, from inexpensive pizzas and snacks up to the Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant, Le Farcon. La Tania is sandwiched between the famous resorts of Courchevel and Meribel in an area that offers skiers the ultimate choice of skiing. The main twelve-person gondola out of La Tania links to two high-speed chairs from where you can choose to drop towards Courchevel via Chenus or over the Col de la Loze towards Meribel.
