The fifth bedroom is a brilliant kid’s room with two sets of bunk beds and a baby cot if required.

Villa Yulissa offers gorgeous outside space. A shaded bridge extends over water teeming with fish to create a perfect tropical welcome to the property.

Ceiling fans spread cool breezes through the delightful covered terrace, where you can relax in large squashy loungers or a sumptuous voile-draped sofa to enjoy a sundowner or two on warm balmy evenings. There is plenty of room to dine under the stars or maybe turn up the volume and Merengue over to your covered gazebo overlooking the beautiful pool framed by oversized loungers. There’s the chance to enjoy bubbles in bubbles in the relaxing Jacuzzi area or sample long cool drinks in comfort in the wet lounge area without having to leave the water! The lawn garden is framed with palm trees and tropical plants and completes your slice of paradise.

Enjoying around 300 days of sunshine, the Dominican Republic is one of the most diverse countries in the Caribbean. It occupies the eastern two-thirds of Hispaniola, the second largest island of the Greater Antilles chain in the Caribbean Sea.

As well as expansive sugary sandy beaches lined with palm trees and a stunning turquoise sea, this beautiful island boasts dramatic scenery, including rainforests, mountains, mangrove lagoons, waterfalls and colonial towns. There is a distinct ‘Latino’ flavour to the Dominican Republic. You will be hooked on the Latin rhythms of the Merengue music and dance, which is so ingrained in the Dominican culture that it now boasts its national public holiday!

Located on the Southeast side of the Dominican Republic next to the town of La Romana and just 70 miles from the capital city of Santo Domingo, Casa De Campo is one of the most exclusive destinations in the Dominican Republic and Villa Yulissa enjoys a fantastic location within the beautiful gated ocean side community.

This prestigious resort offers privacy and luxury in abundance and offers a wealth of world-class facilities, including golf courses, an equestrian centre, a shooting club, a yacht club and a tennis centre. There is a wonderful spa and fitness centre and a great selection of bars and restaurants. At the heart of the complex is the beautiful private Minitas Beach and the wonderful lively marina, which is a great spot to wine, dine and shop or simply stroll and look at the amazing array of fabulous boats.

If golf is your thing, you are spoilt for choice at Casa de Campo as the renowned golf course architect Pete Dye has three incredible courses designed within the complex. The Teeth of the Dog Links is the number one course in the Caribbean and ranked 34th in the world. Each course offers an amazing golf experience whether you are a newbie or want to flex your championship-level skills. Each course offers fabulous views across stunning tropical landscapes towards the beautiful Caribbean Sea taking your golfing experience to a whole different level.

Perched high above the Chavon River and overlooking the golf courses of Casa De Campo is the village of Altos de Chavon. Built-in 1982 as a centre of culture for the Dominican people, Altos de Chavon replicates a Mediterranean-style village of the 16th century.

The views are breathtaking, and you can enjoy beautiful buildings, squares, shops and cafes alongside a cultural centre, archaeological museum and roman style amphitheatre, which regularly hosts top music artists. This is a lovely place to see local artists showcase their unique creations or simply relax with a sundowner or two and enjoy the ambience of this pretty village.

Casa de Campo offers every type of water sport so whether you want a day out deep sea fishing or sailing or want to try paddle surfing on the Caribbean Sea, this can be easily organised.

For those looking for history and culture, Santo Domingo is the Dominican Republic’s capital and the oldest city in the new world. The city is home to the hemisphere’s first monastery, Monasterio de San Francisco and the Americas oldest surviving cathedral of Santa Maria la Menor. The Zona Colonial area is rich in history and has some wonderful food options. For a chance to escape the hustle of the city, head to the beautiful 3 Eyes National Park, which offers a great combination of caves, lakes and nature.
